Yes, he had a tough time. When I began this book, Larry Martin was such an awful person, I wasn't sure where this was going. Then, I got out of the way & let Larry tell his own story. And that's what a reader will experience ... Larry's life and what happened to him through his own eyes.

Alicia, do you WANT to write? If U do, there is nothing to do but do it. Believe in yourself (hard, I know) & figure your story out. Every beginning novelist suffers feeling lost at sea. It's awful. But work up your book & then, find an editor. Beta's come later. But 1st, get your book together.

Hi Timmy. Award winning fiction novelist here. Some novelists struggle w/creating dialogue. Some fall flat on pacing. Others find it difficult to convey emotional depth ... but these are all elements of writing a good book. Now, EDITING that book, well, that's an entirely different animal.

Sadly, I am not buying any candy this year. Neither is my 30 something daughter who used to love Halloween. I imagine other folks aren't buying as well, or just less and closing the door when it runs out. For kids, I doubt this year will be as bountiful as usual.

I hear you, William Scott Lowe. I figure that since everyone here is essentially on the same side, there's no pressure to ramp up each other's comments like there would be on "X." Anyway, keep the faith and keep posting. Happy day to you.

I have very few Hollywood favorites. But I resonated with Diane Keaton on many levels. Her death is a shock to me. So, yes, it's sad; a stunning loss. I am sure I am not alone in feeling this way. Thanks, Emma.

Anna ... consider the difference between Gavin not supporting transwomen in sports for political purposes v. this orange fascist regime likely headed towards imprisoning gay & trans people as 'enemies of the state.' The difference is huge. NOTHING will protect LBGT under Trump. Not so w/Newsom.

Interest rate cuts are good for potential homebuyers & buyers of US bonds. (Trump recently invested a 100 million in US bonds. Bonds work inversely to interest rates. Bonds go up when rates go down.) BUT rate cuts are bad for interest bearing accounts like money markets. Thus, more inflation.

Yet, the homeless remain homeless in the US. They are still suffering. They are still hungry. They are still sad. And their numbers are growing ... job loss, medical bankruptcy, escalating rents, taxes, and cost of living. I believe in spirituality. But no longer in an absent 'God.'
