The Kings of Poverty Row, S1E5
The Kings of Poverty Row started as stage play that gradually outgrew the time restraints of the stage and evolved into scripts for a television series. It's set in 1939, in the world of the fictional Esteem Comics, owned by quick buck publishers Harold and Jake Dinwitz, and tells the tale of their intrepid young editor Shermy Markowitz's efforts to introduce quality and integrity into a business that believed both its product and its creators were dispensable.
