“Kinetic engagement” could refer to dancing. Perhaps he’s just expecting the ballroom to be completed.😏

A third option would be to impeach some of the more egregious cabinet members.

If the reference is to the tech intellectuals, perhaps they accept that Trump will leave the US poorer, weaker, and more divided because they themselves will be more powerful.

Spread these stories. This is our government “just enforcing the law“ in the eyes of many of our fellow citizens. What a travesty!

Kimberly Guilfoyle was preparing for her congressional hearing to become U.S. ambassador to Greece when she reached out to a Trump donor with an urgent request: She needed $100,000 that she said she owed American Express—in a way that wouldn't leave a paper trail.

Justin’s point about wealth at a certain level equating with the accumulation of power rather than of goods & services is spot on. When you have someone like Musk who can pour a quarter billion dollars into political campaigns we’re crossing into territory beyond 1st Amendment considerations.

This argument is dishonest. The administration doesn’t use Congress to do what it wants (the one exception: the “big…bill”). They’re not trying to pass legislation. The only reason they want Congressional majorities is to prevent oversight.

It's hard to imagine a serious effort to fix the federal government that doesn't include court reform. This is not a generic point about bad faith judges. Successful political reform will require the root-and-branch elimination of interlocking con law doctrines that choke off legislative innovation

So we have total control of the Strait but we’re refusing to open it. Yet there’s plenty of oil going through anyway. What then is the difference on oil supplies between opening and refusing to open the Strait? (Btw, “Harmoze Strait”??)

I would have preferred to hear you interview Coxon; his first-hand account of the impending danger of AI was the bombshell news story. How come you had to air Fox clips rather than your getting the interview directly?

@MIGOP: “democracy” as used in 18th c., i.e., direct democracy, people voting for laws Now: “democracy” = representative democracy, people voting for representatives who vote for laws.

You’re being ironic, but the Constitutional mechanisms we have are of course not self-executing and no amount of legal procedures will make up for spinelessness in those entrusted with using them.

You’re misreading what I said. The denials are deliberate; the deaths that sometimes result are not intentional or premeditated as in 1st degree murder, and to argue that they are is an attempt to justify 1st degree murder.

If, however, Fauci said something during his current testimony that arguably conflicted with either past testimony or his diaries, the prosecution could allege, & not provably in bad faith, that his prior statements were more likely to be true because they’re closer to the events in question.

You get birthright citizenship at birth, you’re not an alien (enemy or not), and if you later become a member of a terrorist organization, or a lobbyist for a foreign government (legal if you’re registered), you are dealt with by the law as a citizen.

All of these proposals and not a word about the Supreme Court? Until we have a Supreme Court that recognizes that Congress and the President can together limit executive power, we will continue with the current distorted view of the Constitution.

When Vought said we were in a “post-Constitutional moment,” he wasn’t explicit about whether that was a good thing, but he has behaved as if it were. The withering away of Congress is apparently his goal.
