I work with children's authors at all stages of their writing & publishing journey, from their initial idea or draft manuscript to working with illustrators, publication, & beyond. ✨️Write and publish your children’s picture book to traditionally published standards.

These little gems are consistently voted favourite illustrations at children's events. There's often a tie when it comes to the third book in my multi-award-winning picture book trilogy. But I have to agree with my little readers! 🥰😍

I also work with 𝗜𝗹𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 on specific areas of cover design & internal layouts. I don’t encroach on their illustration or creative practices. Instead, we focus on nailing the all-important front & rear covers, internal layouts, & the technical specifications specific to the publishing world.

On International Women’s Day, let's celebrate women, both in stories and in life. Those who refuse to give up, who rise after every fall, & who remind us all that strength comes in many forms. Here’s to the women forging their own paths and inspiring others to do the same #InternationalWomensDay

I celebrated World Book Day with pupils from primaries 1 to 4 of Stockbridge Primary School in Edinburgh. After reading from The Fairy in the Kettle, I gave my creative writing lesson on creating engaging characters. The children then created their own fantastically brilliant & unique characters.

Hi, if it was written as a tutorial on fishing, then yes, that would be too niche. But if it was fiction, you would promote the characters & adventure/mystery/fantasy side rather than fishing. Your audience would be 9 to 12 years, & your cover art should reflect the genre more than fishing. 😊
