It's really the wooden construction rather than the enamel plate that marks it out as a Ludlow. Although not all wooden boxes are Ludlows...some are "carpenter's boxes" 🙃

It's a Large No.3 Ludlow wall box. These "end of the line" EiiR Ludlows weren't fitted with the distinctive enamel plates. Not at all common would be something of an understatement! A great spot 👍
