Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Now we’re at least getting interesting things in these proposals 020
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 08/10/2026I'd like to think I'm someone else but surely I'm actually the guy furthest top right 010
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 08/10/2026the guy on the right in this photo is amazing 030
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 07/10/2026This doesn’t answer the question from game one but it’s still cool 000
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Sudden Sam, a really borderline great player in the long line of “dudes who throw harder than everyone else, strike out a ton of batters, don’t give up many hits, and walk enough guys that it is a serious problem.” Modern metrics suggest he’s got a borderline HOF case and should’ve won a CYA. 000
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Really felt like someone texted him and was like “how did it end?” And got like two texts worth of plot and ran with it 000
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 06/10/2026This is legit the kind of idea my wife often shares about baseball 010
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 05/10/2026They’re gonna say stuff about how Chourio just became every Milwaukee kid’s favorite player and hell, I’m 38 and I think he just became my favorite baseball player of all time 071
Reposted by Paul DietrichJeff Passan Bot @jeffpassanbot.bsky.social · 05/10/2026The dream scenario of every kid. Bottom of the ninth. Two outs. Bases loaded. Facing the toughest pitcher in the world to hit. Jackson Chourio made magic. 522442
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Mitchell got a hit this time but 4 was called a strike 🤬 010
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Again with this ump, #4 was a called strike. But it was easy to miss because Fox keeps using these awful behind the plate angles 120
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Brewers just robbed of their first baserunner because of a bad 3-0 call and this is how this game has been going 000
Reposted by Paul DietrichTimothy Burke @bubbaprog.xyz · 04/10/2026that hit had a launch angle of 49 degrees and exit velocity of 105mph and in the statcast era that has never once resulted in a home run Exit Velocity: 105 MPH, Launch Angle: 49° BA: .037 1B%: 0.0 2B%: 3.7 3B%: 0.0 HR %: 0.0 32424106
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Two things: 1. I thought it was foul off the bat and I’m not sure it wouldn’t have gone foul if it hadn’t hit 2. Just win babay 031
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 04/10/2026“He’s expecting the curve do it again!” I tell my 3-year-old daughter who is somehow still up as Megill blows away Tatis with three straight fastballs 040
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 01/10/2026(Also... neither Turang nor Misiorowski should finish lower than fourth? I don't think there's a very good argument for anyone else, though I imagine some voters will talk themselves into Sánchez above one of the two Brewers.) 000
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 01/10/2026What I've learned via this exercise from a Brewer perspective is that I actually think that Brewers should go 2/3 in NL MVP voting, though the reality is that Miz and Turang will probably split the vote and Shohei finishes second. Which is fine. But there's a big drop from PCA to everyone else. 100
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Also this morning I spent some time thinking about award ballots, and in the AL, boy, it gets ugly after the top 2/3. Here's where I'm at: NL MVP: 1. PCA 2. Miz 3. Turang 4. Shohei 5. Moreno/Sale/Sánchez, not sure AL MVP: 1. Yordan 2. Schlittler 3. Witt 4. Caminero? 5. ...Cease? Messick? 100

Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 29/09/2026From the @samdykstramilb.bsky.social piece about Andrew Fischer… this two-strike approach sure explains a lot about our guy’s strikeout numbers haha 000

Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 27/09/2026With his 201st homer, Gary Sánchez is now tied with Gene Tenace for 22nd among players who primarily played catcher in their careers. 020
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Arenado only had 28 homers the last couple years combined. He was probably going to make the HOF, but these late career solid seasons (30 homers and over 3 WAR) really make it easy for voters. 000
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 25/09/2026One of our BCB commenters shared this and it’s amazing so shout out to ianfrommn: In the last TEN YEARS the Brewers have played more regular season games that were meaningless because they clinched everything they could clinch than meaningless because they were eliminated from the playoffs. 020
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Murphy is old enough that he’ll probably never have to deal with this but sometimes he does give “love him when you’re good and resent him when you’re not” vibes. 000
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 24/09/2026(Don’t look up Zac Gallen’s last couple years, Brewers fans.) 001
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 22/09/2026This is the headline of someone who hasn’t watched every pitch he’s thrown in the last month lol. They have better options! Maybe maybe maybe a bullpen role. 030

Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 17/09/2026He’s been way better out of the pen than as a starter this year! 001
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Prince better than Cecil. I like the prompt though. Others: Bobby Bonds, Hall of Famers Lloyd Waner and Rick Ferrell (his brother Wes, not in the Hall, was far superior), Dom DiMaggio 000
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Over his last two starts Thomas Pannone has an ERA of 4.84 and is averaging 6.2 innings and 0.5 perfect games per start 030
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 13/09/2026I hardly follow the packers anymore anyway but honestly after all the times NFL head coaches have had to speak in situations like this it is unbelievable to me that LaFleur didn’t have something better to say than this weak bullshit 061
Paul Dietrich @pauldietrich.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Even with full knowledge of how good Jake Bauers has been, it's shocking to me that he's second in the league in OBP 000
