Catlands, Montgomery County's first adoptable cat lounge, is coming to 375 Main St., taking over the space that was previously home to the short-lived Baby Bar, which operated in 2023. After Baby Bar closed, signage for Colour Couture Salon was installed at the location, though the business ultimately never opened. According to Catlands, the boutique concept will combine a cat lounge with an adoption experience, inviting guests to “play, lounge, adopt" while interacting with adoptable cats in a relaxed setting. The business is currently targeting opening by the end of 2026.

There's a small stream that forms the Northern border of our lot. I searched the stream bed for a nice featureless pebble. This is the best I could find.

The old Canon EOS 40D was my first digital camera that was any good. It wasn't up to speed with today's cameras on resolution or dynamic range, but it usually nailed color without any help in postprocessing.
