More and more places are cropping up in my neighborhood with clearly AI generated signage. All the rustic charm of my childhood vacation spots are being replaced with AI Slop branding. Every other flyer I see is the same awful looking AI garbage. The world is becoming so dull, and there's no escape.

Character writing in party based RPGs is so important. In my opinion, even more important than the story itself. Like how are you going to make me play a game for 80+ hours and not have the characters believably connect with each other? How do you justify such a long game that fails to do this?

Nier Automata is probably better than the 1985 MS-DOS game The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai: Across the 8th Dimension, but historically speaking, this most likely won't factor into my decision on what to play next.

I have completely and utterly finished Balatro. There is no Balatro left. I have Ba'd my final Latro. 669.4 hours. I'm not sure what possessed me to do this, but it feels like the end of a long journey. As happy as I am, I will legitimately miss playing this game.

We met Ryoko and her mother Rumiko in Shimokitazawa. They were incredibly nice, and shared all sorts of local snacks with us! We were so happy to make friends in the area. Japan has been extremely cool!

Over 400 days of Japanese Duolingo, but it's time to move on. While I did learn an okay amount from it, the CEO's more recent decision to be an "AI first" company has been really disappointing to say the least. I think there's more effective self driven learning methods out there for me. がんばります!

Just finished gold stake with every deck! If you don't play Balatro this probably doesn't look like much, but it took me 486 hours to do. One last achievement to go! Only 50 gold jokers left between me and the finish line.
