Its been a few months since I've done any star trails. Went down last night to the abandoned Oregon Inlet Life Saving Station on the OBX. While passing lights from cars and a dredging barge didn't make things easy, I'm pretty happy with the result.

I don't usually do sunrises (too damn early for me), but got up early today and headed to Kitty Hawk Pier. I was not disappointed. Still seeing a little of the effect of Erin, although the seas have calmed quite a bit.

I'm anything but a professional. Been shooting for 10 years or so, and really got into it about 5 years ago when I retired. Had been shooting with a Fuji X-T5 until recently, but shifted to the Z8 and still getting used to it.

The Milky Way rising above the Bodie Island Lighthouse last night. Took shots to do a stack with Starry Landscape Stacker, but the new non-destructive Denoise feature in Lightroom did a better job of it. Going to have to get out there again and do another test run. #EastCoastKin #Photography.
