Saw Hamilton for the first time yesterday. It was fun in an Obama-era way. The boosting of America’s promise and the japes against ridiculous foreigners probably landed better before American became exclusionary. Odd to watch in London, where we applaud our own conversion into pantomime villains.

Disappointed about the assisted dying vote in the Commons today. It’s inevitable that the law will change in favour of personal choice; which most MPs must appreciate. Parliament should resist being seen as craven and weak on moral issue such as this:

Enjoying reading the pundits’ predictions for the forthcoming Premier League season. In summary, the six richest clubs are predicted to finish in the top six and the three newly promoted clubs are predicted to go down, with #nufc and Villa “foodchained” into oblivion. Nice work, Premier League.

The Hojbjerg thing sounds to me like the player has demanded wages that, because of the UEFA straitjacket, #nufc have set themselves against paying because it would effectively mean cutting costs elsewhere. That wouldn’t rule out a revival later in the window assuming the club hasn’t moved on.
