Thomas Massie pushed for the release of the Epstein files, and the response has been tens of millions in outside spending, smear campaigns, and coordinated attacks. It gets increasingly difficult to push toward the truth when studies, research and accurate data have been taken down, fabricated or scrubbed from government websites. That used to be where we could go to get reliable information to support positions and enable critical thinking. No more.

I’m genuinely just very emotional. I wish I could go back in time and show a video of these faith leaders to the younger version of myself who was desperately shoveling teaspoon of sands in the bucket of a loving faith, trying and failing to counteract Trump, Kirk & the like. He’d cry too.

A college-aged Hunter the night Trump won the election, wearing black bloc for some reason, pointing at the hideous sign I made in an attempt to help others cope with the coming fascist administration.

I had just finished working on the election coverage for my school paper and was furiously assembling this poster in my dorm room. Shortly afterwards, I went to the empty chapel and sat there late into the night, trying desperately to understand or find some light at the end of the tunnel.

The flag is a hastily created pride flag that reads “Jesus loves you even when America and Pepperdine don’t.”

Before now, the only person I know who knows I did this was a staff member who deduced it from other work I was doing - they were supportive.

Spitballing here: Sounds like a system that would limit access to providers-like Medicaid does now. Reimbursement rates would likely be lower, so private insurers and larger employers (that can afford larger group plans) would have better access to care. Better for small employers I am sure.
