Here’s a few photos I’ve shot with the iPhone 18 Pro while I’ve been in Hawaii.

This is like a month overdue, but I’m finally updating the M64 for a story I’m working on. I have an early version of the console, so it’s all a really annoying process.

I’m trying out the Pokémon Red Gen1Recomp and the DramaticShape Voxel Mod on the Galaxy Z Fold 8. It’s wild that things like this exist. It runs pretty well, but there’s a bit of lag with the Voxel Mod (it’ll likely be fixed in future updates).

I’m testing out the Intel Arc G3 Extreme-powered MSI Claw 8 EX AI+. I’ve been playing a lot of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and getting roughly 50-65fps. In comparison, I was getting 30-45 with the ROG Xbox Ally X and its Z2 Extreme.

I just started using the Unihertz Titan 2 Elite. Rebuilding that QWERTY keyboard muscle memory is a painful process.

Star Fox on the Switch 2 feels great. I’ve also warmed up to the art style. Did anyone catch that low-tuned “good luck” from the OG Star Fox lol? I’ll likely buy it at some point when it’s on sale.

I'm down with the Ocarina of Time remake's art style. A realistic-looking Zelda is definitely what I want to see right now. I do find it kind of funny that Link has fingernails, though lol.

Well, this sucks. Somehow my Pebble Time 2’s display is already chipped. I guess Gorilla Glass isn’t that durable…

Why is the VPN button so big in Firefox now. It looks stupid lol.

It’s that time of year again 🛹.

I replaced my Google Nest Wifi Pro mesh system with the TP-Link Tri-Band BE9700. So far, things are going well 🔥.

So far the Pebble Time 2 is decent. It feels very high-quality, and generally I like the stripped-back approach to a smartwatch. On the hand, the screen is a bit difficult to see and lacks contrast. I also don’t really like the included rubber strap.

Twilight Princess looks so good running in Dusklight with the Wii U remaster’s HD textures.

Patrick O'Rourke @patrickorourke.bsky.social · 13/05/2026

Twilight Princess looks so much better with no bloom. You can turn it off entirely in the PC port Dusk (which is now called Dusklight to avoid confusion with New Blood Interactive’s Dusk).

It’s crazy they put my son in Twilight Princess.

2ship2harkinian is a great way to revisit The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. It doesn’t run as smoothly as Ship of Harkinian and Ocarina of Time, but it’s still a solid PC port of the N64 classic (MM Reloaded helps a lot, too).

Halo Archive is wild. It's a backup of all the halo.bungie.net stat-tracking data that was deleted back in 2021. Here's the last Team Doubles match I played with a friend in Halo 2 way back in 2007.

Banjo: Recompiled makes Banjo-Kazooie so much better - the PC port is great. Here’s what the game looks like with the BK Reloaded HD texture pack and AlwaysHighPolyBanjo running.

It’s wild how good Ship of Harkinian makes Ocarina of Time look.

I'm thinking about installing ChromeOS Flex on my 2016 12-inch MacBook. It's still in great condition and I'd like to find a way to make it useful again www.xda-developers.com/google-wants...

I’ve been testing Apple’s AirPods Max 2 for the past few days. So far, they’re very similar to the original AirPods Max, but with notably improved ANC, similar to the AirPods Pro 3. My review will be up on XDA next week.

The MacBook Neo overall feels way higher-quality than I expected given its price. The setup process was a little laggy, but that could come down to restoring from a Time Machine backup. The physical trackpad is also really loud lol.

I got my hands on the iPhone 17e 🫡. It’s a solid phone, but given how great the iPhone 17 is this year, it really is the phone for your boomer parents and that’s it.

I saw the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s Ocean Mode in action yesterday. This feature under water shooting saturation feature is for like 10 people, but it’s pretty cool.

I’m testing out Asus’ ZenBook Duo (2026). I haven’t figured out the whole two screens thing yet, but it’s definitely a cool, very futuristic feeling laptop. My review will be up on @xdasocial.bsky.social next week.
