@support.blizzard.com FYI: latest Diablo Immortal iOS patch release, Version 5.1.0 (3.79 GB), screws up the game and makes it unplayable.

Accepting that rolling a Varog with the exact 6L skills I want is virtually impossible, it must be pure folly or a gambling disorder for me to waste more money on this accursed familiar gacha system. #DiabloImmortal #MicrosoftGames #BlizzardEntertainment #NetEaseGames #BlizzardCS

Flag Day and the United States Army Birthday are both celebrated annually on June 14. This date recognizes the founding of the Continental Army in 1775 and the official adoption of the American Flag by the Second Continental Congress in 1777. 🇺🇸 #USArmy #Army251 #Freedom250

Compare with the familiar gacha system where a player can spend UNLIMITED amounts of money and NEVER get what they want. That is why gacha mechanics are much worse than P2W! (2/2) #DiabloImmortal #MicrosoftGames #BlizzardEntertainment #NetEaseGames #BlizzardCS #暗黑破壞神永生不朽

The current Phantom Market is a good example of play-to-win mechanics. If a player spends enough money, eventually they will acquire everything including the grand prize. (1/2) #DiabloImmortal #MicrosoftGames #BlizzardEntertainment #NetEaseGames #BlizzardCS #暗黑破壞神永生不朽

I humbly implore the game developers to gift me with a single bespoke 6L amalgam Varog before their familiar conversion gacha system leaves me completely destitute with a severe gambling disorder. #DiabloImmortal #MicrosoftGames #BlizzardEntertainment #NetEaseGames #BlizzardCS

Prediction markets are not commodity exchanges, but unregulated gambling sites. Mobile video games built around gacha and loot box MTXs should also be subject to state and federal regulation as a type of addictive online gambling activity. 💸💸💸 #Gaming

The Varog design appears to be modeled upon the Chinese wind god, Fei Lian (飛廉), a mythological chimera often depicted as having the head of a sparrow, horns of a bull, body and legs of a stag, markings of a leopard, and tail of a serpent. #DiabloImmortal #暗黑破壞神永生不朽

Familiar conversion is a gacha trap for whales. To "win" your dream pet, first secure employment with $MSFT then successfully negotiate with HR for a bespoke familiar as part of your total compensation package. #DiabloImmortal #MicrosoftGaming #BlizzardEntertainment #NetEaseGames

The probability is 0.0000000022864% that I will roll a 6L Varog with the exact skills I want. The gacha mechanic of familiars is a costly gambling-adjacent game of chance for nearly unattainable virtual prizes. #DiabloImmortal #MicrosoftGames #BlizzardEntertainment #NetEaseGames

The odds of rolling a 6L Varog with the exact skills I want from its passive skill pool is 1 in 437,353,560. While not mathematically impossible, the chances are still effectively zero. P2W is awful, but the gacha-like mechanics of familiars is far worse. #DiabloImmortal

I have a personal system to cut down on online impulse purchases. If I see something I think I want, but don't necessarily need, I will save the link and revisit it 2-3 weeks later. If I still actually want it when I look at it again then I'll order it.

Almost every @diabloimmortal.blizzard.com familiar type has received a new possible "amalgam" trait which alters their active skill and appearance. Just another enticement for players to gamble more real money chasing virtual prizes by @blizzard.com. I do like the Super Saiyan amalgam Varog. 🦄 💸
