First beer I've had in weeks to see in the dat, and found my favorite beer. Merry Christmas, gang. Have a good one.

Reject 'I can fix them' Embrace 'I'll let them make me worse.'

Hey. I have a question about this artwork for a new Marvel Rivals skin... how is her spine doing this?

I've been burdened with this bad joke in my head all day, so I had to make it.

Hi. Playing Vendetta in Overwatch is my personality now.

Made a post about liking Destiny 2: Renegades that got shared around on Twitter. This was my favourite comment.

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 08/12/2025

Having sat on it a little longer, I think Renegades is one of the best campaigns in Destiny 2. I don't think it reaches The Witch Queen or The Final Shape simply for scale reasons, but I'm left really quite fond of it. It's such a smart expansion, and a well-considered crossover.

Me looking at Marvel Rivals, a game that had a huge drop off in later seasons and huge meta issues, and Helldivers 2, a game the developers described as "breaking at the seams" that is currently pushing back content to fix the game, getting nominated for best ongoing game over Overwatch 2.

I fucking love DnD, man. Had a duel with a dragon guy, lost, then had some of my favourite inter-character RP interactions tonight. I love playing this disgruntled Fire Genasi who's mad as hell all the time.

Arc Raiders' peak concurrent is growing each day and has surpassed its free server slam test, which suggests very strong word of mouth.

Nothing in video games feels as good as dominating on Junker Queen.

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 27/10/2025

I've been basically laid flat out since Friday night. I've been in so much delerium, I am playing a Pokémon Platinum Romhack - and I'm not even a Pokémon guy. I'm through the other side at least in terms of pain, so back to work tomorrow. Sorry for anyone waiting on emails.

Played an absurd amount of Overwatch Stadium today. Went 16-5. This mode really is excellent. It's such a fun way to interact with the game.

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 17/10/2025

I've been somewhat lenient to some of the Universes Beyond releases, but MTG has truly lost the plot.

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 13/10/2025

Lucian meant the world to me, and I learnt a lot from him, as lost a boy as he was. For now, Book One on these characters has shut, but maybe, down the road, past new adventures, we'll meet them again.

After 34 sessions, we've closed the chapter on our DnD campaign. It was my first, and was perfect. I love these characters with my whole heart. It feels poetic that it ended on the first day of my new job, as it started at a low point for me, and it ends with hope on the horizon.

#NotEntirelyWashed. Was a heck of a climb this season after some shenanigans, but we regained when it mattered (which is to say, before the chaos of the drive.)

Actual ask: Are there people out there doing good 10-hour sleep compilations that aren't completely eaten up by AI music and imagery? It's crazy how much this whole very popular genre on YouTube is entirely AI.

Killed my dad in DnD tonight. It was great. 😊

010

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 17/09/2025

DnD Campaign 2 character is locked in. Completed the HeroForge model, and their backstory is done. I'm seriously so excited to play this cool as hell, angry fire woman who might be a touch too into vengeance and manifesting chains as part of said vengeance.

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 07/09/2025

Me, playing Silksong to review Silksong, reading takes about how Silksong has killed reviews.

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 07/09/2025

I will say though, I have a lot of time for this nasty man.

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

You never know who you are going to meet on the Overwatch ladder.

020

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 27/08/2025

You: *Spends 5 minutes coming up with a story for a DnD character and just runs it.* Me, 3 months before a campaign: "I'm drowning. I just read 50 DnD lore wikis, and I don't know if any of it is useful for this character. Shit. Fuck. I just made a themed Spotify playlist. Is this anything?"

130

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 22/08/2025

I've been thinking a lot about my character as we're headed into for our next campaign in a couple months. Ummed and ahhed, and talked to my GM about interesting new takes on the character, and think I landed on - I just want it to be nice and simple. I'm a fire-lady Paladin who believes in karma.

Currently in a side DnD campaign that is monster-hunting themed, which has been nicknamed 'the girlies campaign', where we play 16-year-old monster hunters in a world influenced by Southern Bayou folklore, and man, I fucking love TTRPGs.

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 08/08/2025

I love to play a rogue character in DnD, what can I say?

000

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 23/07/2025

Me watching Daggerheart videos to understand how the game works.

130

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 23/07/2025

God I love DnD. I lost touch with creative writing and public performance, two things that used to be core to my interests in high school. It's been so fun to connect with that again alongside gifted storytellers doing fun work around me. Proud of how far my lad Lucian has come in five months.

100

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 23/07/2025

Me last night, 150 feet above the ocean, in the claws of a Black Dragon.

020

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 10/07/2025

God, I love DnD. We just finished session 18. It's been so fun. We're level 7 now, and we just had a hero, "fuck 'em up" fight, and was a real reminder of how far we'd come. I love my Ghost Rogue boy. His morals have been torn and twisted, but he is still my special guy.

010

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 04/07/2025

New character for a new, very exciting DnD campaign. She's going to be a real menace.

110

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 02/07/2025

Took the little lad out for an explore and a long needed measure. We officially have a five foot king. 🌈👑 (He also supported and clinged to a door frame for like 10 minutes and he was so strong I couldn't get him off until he came down.)

100

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 29/06/2025

I've only been playing DnD for a couple of months, but when I see WotC pushing some new thing, or content creators talking about the death of DnD, I'm just reminded of this. They done made the good, good game. Why is anyone pushing for more?

130

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 28/06/2025

This Northern Lion clip did the impossible and made me laugh out loud for a couple seconds.

130

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 23/06/2025

DBD is a funny game. Sometimes you should duck and do nothing.

130

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 22/06/2025

Played a DnD one-shot last night playing with the excellent new Crooked Moon book, and played as a Blood Sorcerer Fish Woman, who brought delightful feral energy to proceedings, and god, I want to play her in a longer campaign sometime. I had an absolute ball being respectfully unhinged.

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 17/06/2025

I finished Act 3 of @worldsbeyondnumber.bsky.social today. This might sound grandiose, but I've not been as moved by a piece of media in a long time. It's novel-level fantasy writing, with the humanity that comes with collaboration. Absolute must podcasting, even if you don't love DnD.

Patrick Dane @patrickdane.bsky.social · 14/06/2025

My dad's friend gave him some old 93-96 MTG cards and I'm looking through them. Some neat juice in here, and really cool to see them, but tbh, the box is as cool as anything else. Pure old school fantasy illustration.
