I can't believe it's been about 40 years since the famous Walt Disney Home Video logo appeared on every Disney VHS we own, and it had Mickey Mouse at the very start. It was produced by Hal Miles Imagimation Studios, using 2D animation, and camera control. #WaltDisneyHomeVideo #nostalgia

Also there's the fact that Sony is buying most of the Peanuts stuff, and we have a new animated Peanuts movie coming to Apple TV soon. And with that I like to say, Happy 60 Years to Good ol' Charlie Brown, and friends in Animation, and 75 years of Peanuts in general. Good Grief!

Mr. Schulz was a man that had dealt with everything in his life, and made a character that was based on him. If it weren't for him then the comic strips wouldn't be funny, and that animated contents back in the day wouldn't be entertaining. So I'm glad that he made the Peanuts.

The Peanuts gang managed to entertain everyone both young, and old for decades. And even though the Peanuts gang's personalities are still the same, they've managed to improve on who they are, and made themselves better than ever.

From their first animated appearance in The Ford Show, to their big TV debut in a Christmas special. From their first big screen movie, to their many specials. From their TV series, to their 3D CGI film. And from their streaming service debut, to their upcoming film.

The special ends with the Peanuts gang singing, "Better Than We Found It". With the success of the festival, the camp is saved, and the gang celebrates a fulfilling summer at Cloverhill Ranch. And Sally just can't wait to come back again next summer. And that ends the special.

To the rest of the camp's amazement, his stubbornness is rewarded when the clouds break, the sun shinning, and they are faced with a large crowd of their friends―including Snoopy's siblings―there to support the camp.

While the rest of the campers believe all hope is lost, Charlie Brown refuses to accept defeat, stubbornly remaining on the stage through the rain. With the song, "Look Up, Charlie Brown" playing.

However, on the day of the festival it started raining, meaning it will likely be cancelled.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 05/01/2026

He then came up with the idea to hold a music festival as a way of promoting the camp, inviting alumni and any other people they know back. And also to keep the camp open for future generations of kids to come.

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 05/01/2026

Upon showing it off to Charlie Brown, however, he is annoyed to learn that the chest does not contain treasure but is instead a time capsule of old photos and objects from camp. Charlie Brown learns from the photos that the camp used to hold music festivals every year.

The next morning, while the Peanuts gang were still sleeping, Charlie Brown was figuring out a way to save the camp. Then suddenly, Snoopy, and the Beagle Scouts were returning with the treasure they found.

After a night of reminiscing on their experiences, Charlie Brown and Sally resolve to figure out a way to save the camp.

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 05/01/2026

The song continues to play, and Sally, and her friends were enjoying the camp experience before the camp closes down for good.

During the song, we got to take a look at what Charlie Brown, and the Peanuts gang looked like back then, as they are shown in their original design from their early appearance in the comic strips. From the 50s, 60s, 70s, 90s, to today.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 05/01/2026

Meanwhile, Charlie Brown was remembering the good old days he, and his friends had at camp. With the song, "When We Were Light" playing.

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 05/01/2026

Back to Snoopy, and the Beagle Scouts, they've managed to find the X that marks the spot on the river. They dive down into the river, and found the treasure chest.

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 05/01/2026

Back to the Peanuts gang, Sally and her friends were also having started to find things to like about camp. And now that camp is closing, they won't be able to enjoy it again.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 05/01/2026

Back to Snoopy, he was still in trouble. Thankfully Woodstock and the rest of the Beagle Scouts tracked him down and assisted him in finding the treasure, a chest that had been hidden at the bottom of a river.

The other campers react poorly to the news, with senior campers Charlie Brown and Lucy upset at the prospect of such a formative part of their childhood closing. And it seems like poor Charlie Brown is not taking it very well.

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 05/01/2026

Elsewhere Peppermint Patty, Marcie, Franklin, and "Pig-Pen" noticed that one of the trails had been closed, and headed to the camp's offices to find out what's going on. They then overheard the camp's administrators and that Cloverhill Ranch closing down due to poor attendance.

Just as she despairs finding anything to enjoy, she stumbles upon the ranch's petting zoo where she befriends a horse named Lula May, whom she introduces to her friends.

Marching off, she complains about all the things about camp she hates, with the song "A Place Like This" playing.

After a rough night attempting to sleep through the snores of her bunkmates and the sounds of nature, Sally reaches her breaking point when Charlie Brown, Peppermint Patty, Marcie, and Franklin tie-dye her shirt as a friendly prank.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 05/01/2026

Meanwhile, Snoopy discovers a treasure map concealed in the frame for one of the camp's photographs. He then immediately sets off on a harrowing journey to find the treasure, at first attempting to do so without Woodstock, but quickly finding himself in trouble.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 05/01/2026

As he also looks at the pictures, Charlie Brown notices that camp attendance seems to have lowered over the years, noting that Sally's generation would rather sit in front of the TV, which Sally immediately confirms.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 05/01/2026

Charlie Brown finds her staring at the camp's wall of pictures from years' past, where she expresses envy over how much fun past campers seem to have had.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 05/01/2026

Sally is immediately turned off by the camp's traditions and activities, disliking the shared accommodations with her bunkmates and finding some issues in most of the outdoor recreational pastimes.

Summertime has arrived, and Charlie Brown is excited to spend his last summer at Cloverhill Ranch Summer Camp with Sally―a first time camper―despite her doubts about spending her free time in a strange place. And the song, Best Time Ever plays during their arrival at camp.

The Peanuts gang are about to sing their hearts out again in the new special, Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical. This is the first Peanuts musical special in 38 years since Snoopy the Musical.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

The art style has been slightly tweaked yet again in Camp Snoopy. This time, the outlining of the gang is marginally thicker.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

All in all, both the Peanuts gang, and Snoopy, and the beagle scouts have been going on many adventures in summer camp. And at the end of the summer, the beagle scouts have finally earned their badges, and Snoopy could not be more prouder than ever.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

How about the time Snoopy helped Charlie Brown deliver a letter to the Little Red-Haired Girl aka Heather who was at a different camp that was on the other side of the lake. Even though the water spoiled the letter, he was happy that she remembered his name.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

The Peanuts gang has also been doing a lot of stuff at summer camp too. Like making new friends, like the time Sally made a new friend named, Naomi. They may have their disagreements, but they still like being best friends, through bad days, to happy days.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

I'm not going to talk much about this series, but I'll add in a few details. Throughout the series, Snoopy and his beagle scouts have work day, and night to earn some badges. Badges like, the fishing badge, the builder badge, the dog-care badge, and many more badges to earn.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

The next day, Charlie Brown saw Snoopy, and was wondering why he came to summer camp. Snoopy then handed him the hand book, and Charlie Brown realized that Snoopy came to summer camp just to help his beagle scouts earn their badges. Nonetheless, the kid was happy to see Snoopy.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

While the Peanuts gang were unpacking their stuff, Charlie Brown was still thinking about Snoopy, and still hoped that he's doing okay. He didn't notice it, but Snoopy and his beagle scout actually made it to camp via taxi, and they were determined to get some badges.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

As Snoopy was about to give up, one of the troops, Woodstock, hands him the Beagle scout head book, and reads the page that says, a true beagle scout views each new challenge as an opportunity to shine. So Snoopy and the beagle scout decided to call up a taxi to summer camp.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

As the Peanuts gang were getting ready to head off, Snoopy and his beagle scouts were hoping to join them. But Charlie Brown informed him that summer camp doesn't allow pets. But he wishes him luck on getting those badges.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

Snoopy then trained the beagle scouts to focus on their goal of getting their badges. The adventure that they'll take won't be easy, but like a beagle scout, the journey begins with a single step.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

Charlie Brown then reads the handbook in hopes to help Snoopy and his troops with their badge problem. And the words he said actually helped Snoopy build his self-confidence to get those badges for his troop by the end of summer.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

Snoopy, feeling very heartbroken by this, throws away his handkerchief, and his hat. He was about to throw away his Beagle Scout Handbook until Woodstock stopped him, and they accidentally threw the book to Charlie Brown.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

Charlie Brown then said to Snoopy that the head office said he only has until this summer to get those badges. Snoopy realizing that he has no other choices left, decided to run away screaming. The rest of the Peanuts gang saw Snoopy run by, and were confused by this.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

The reason for not receiving any badges is because one of the beagle scouts were always goofing off, and not taking things seriously.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

Then the phone rang, and Charlie Brown answered it to see who it was. It was the Beagle Scout headquarters, and it was bad news. He then hung up the phone, and told Snoopy that HQ is very unhappy with Snoopy's troops for not receiving any badges.

100

Patrick Cutrer #NewDeal4Animation🇺🇸 @patrickcutrer.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

In the first ep of the series, the Peanuts gang were getting ready to go to summer camp, and Snoopy(the world's greatest beagle scout leader), was getting ready for another adventure with his beagle scouts.
