I am worn out by national politics. So I thought I would just post some pictures of my cat, Walter.

#ncnp #pnw #hiking Camped at Monogram Lake in the NCNP Fri-Sat. It was a long, hard uphill hike, rewarded with endless wild flower meadows, blueberries, and views of the Cascade River valley and mountains. Feet hurt. But happy to do it.

Went for a hike up the S. Fork of the Cascade River. Hoped to do fly fishing. But the day was hot, and the glacial runoff was too high. But it is my favorite river.

#hiking #pnw #northcascadesnationalpark Hiked to Cascade Pass, NCNP, with a friend. There were too many people, but it is always a good hike. A goat came up to within 5 yards. All the way down the north Cascades national park is getting popular.

#hiking #pnw #northcascades Hiked the East Bank Trail along Ross Lake with a friend today. It’s a mostly tree lined hike at the start. No snow. We did about 11 miles round trip. It was a hard workout without a specific destination. Saw 5-6 overnight […] [Original post on social.seattle.wa.us]

#pnw #hiking #northcascades Hiked the Canton Creek Trail off SR 20 yesterday, until it got a little sketchy. Someone is doing trail work. There were 50 cars at the Ross Dam trailhead. We kept driving on until we found a trail with only 2 other people hiking.

#hiking #pnw #northcascades Tried a 3rd time to snowshoe to Cascade Pass. Made it. A lot of vertical elevation. Lots of steep snow. Nervous in the morning when the snow was icy.

#hiking #spring #PNW We went for a hike upriver and ended up hiking the Cascade River Road from the waterfall to Marble Creek Campground. The road was covered in new snow when we started, but it melted out quickly. I was nervous about getting stuck 20 […] [Original post on social.seattle.wa.us]

#cats I was going to post another political tirade about crazy #MAGA people and our AH president. But then I deleted it out of exhaustion and decided to post a cute pic of my cat. Politics is terrifying. Cats are good.

These were pictures of water and moss comment because that was the most surprising thing. How green everything was. There were also some very large cedar and Hemlock trees on the trail. Typical Washington stuff. But we were getting into the smaller […] [Original post on social.seattle.wa.us]
