you know what's made being a fan significantly more enjoyable for me recently? picking and choosing what I'm actually interested in as opposed to being a completionist reader/watcher. it's still important to be concerned about the general direction franchises go in, but it's more joyful this way.

been venturing into other domains of sci-fi recently and Project Hail Mary has baffled me anew each and every chapter. highly recommend if you want to read something with more human-based science. and don't watch the trailers!! don't rob yourself of a surprising reading experience

any day a new Tessa Gratton book releases is a good day! I generally struggle to read prequels of deceased characters (just hurts me as a hypersensitive person too much and unfortunately bittersweetness also manifests physically for me) but what is The High Republic if not pushing my boundaries 🙂‍↕️
