Hubby decided to go up into the loft, fell off the ladder and broke 4 ribs. He has been in hospital for 3 days but should be home later. He wont except he is an old man and can no longer do all the things he has always done. Dusting off my carers cap and going to try and be patient with him 😀

This morning i went to my #Bank its the only one left in my town. Sat and spoke to a real person, they helped me with my problem in less than 5 minutes, i left the bank feeling happy and looked after. We need #Banks on our High Street

Had a plumber in to fit new taps in my Bathroom, he was the most #negative person i have ever met, from Covid jabs to how rats get in your loft and drown in your cold water tanks. He polluted my home with Negative Vibes. Had to do some #sageburning to cleanse his presents from my home

‼Help Protect North Devon's Maternity Services ‼ ✍️ www.ianroome.uk/campa.../sav... ✍️ There will be a temporary suspension of births at North Devon District Hospital from Tuesday 11th August 2026, due to a critical shortage of consultant obstetricians and gynaecologists in the area.

My national plea to obstetricians and gynaecologists to come and work in North Devon on BBC Radio 5 Live Drive yesterday evening. Our community needs you, and you could help us secure the future of local maternity services.

Coastal towns power tourism, fishing, and heritage – yet they’re often overlooked. Lower wages, fragile economies, and climate threats are hitting hardest at the edges.
A coastal MP, Steff Aquarone, advocates for change. @eastangliabylines.co.uk @steffanaquarone.bsky.social

Britain is an island. We need a coastal minister

Britain is an island, yet coastal communities are too often overlooked. A dedicated coastal minister would give them a voice in Government

Today we get a New Prime Minister, i cant celebrate someone who plotted behind the back of an elected Prime Minister. I am struggling to understand how a few hundred MPs can oust someone elected only 2 years ago. Its not a matter of politics for me, its a matter of the amount of Backstabbing

Decades later, catching Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse” or “Holding Out for a Hero” on the radio still gives me full-body chills. That’s the power of pure, unfiltered talent. Thank you for a voice that never stopped moving us. Rest in power, rockstar. 🕊️🖤

The #volunteers who answer the call when people get into trouble on our coastline will soon stop receiving payments for #emergency callouts, after a landmark court ruling forced a major change to the way the #Coastguard operates. This is so unfair to the people who put their lives at risk daily
