Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 02/06/2026Well, if my boyfriend doesn’t have time for coffee, then I have no problem drinking his too. ☕️😋 How is your morning going so far? 000
Even uitzoomen, ademen, je brein resetten — heerlijk. 100
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 26/01/2026Vergeet pure wilskracht of discipline.
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Tears are running down my cheeks. Not from crying, nor laughing. It’s just an annoying blocked tear duct caused by a stubborn cold. And it triggers a memory. 100
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 08/12/2025Mondays! They're tough to get going, sometimes even by afternoon. Shaking off the weekend can be a bear, right? This isn't my first rodeo with this problem. Throw a wrench in my routine, and suddenly, getting back on track feels impossible. 130
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 05/12/2025One of the great perks of traveling by train: I get to enjoy beautiful sunsets. 😍 How is your day going? 130
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 03/12/2025I hate admitting it. But it’s true: I have a handicap. Not the golf-kind but a real, physical one. You can’t see it, most people don’t even notice. But it’s there. I’m hearing impaired. 🧵 100
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 02/12/2025Easy Inbox Clean up: You can filter all your emails and have them automatically delivered to specific folders. In fact, all the major email clients automatically do this for you. There is one downside, though: You might miss some of the messages you needed to see. 110
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 01/12/2025The downside of using too many productivity apps: Getting a ton of notifications. 130
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 30/11/2025ADHD Hyperfocus is like a productivity superpower, but it can also leave you feeling wiped out. Try using an app to nudge you into taking breaks. That way, you keep your energy up and avoid running on empty. 110
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 29/11/2025Instead of chasing perfection, we should simply ‘do what it takes’. Like getting away from the computer to take a lunch walk. Even when your work isn’t finished yet. This is true grit if you ask me. 000
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 28/11/2025Whether you are distracted by your ADHD or just a perfectionist, work always takes longer than you expected. The solution? Timeboxing. Give yourself a limited time to finish the work. Be realistic, to add just the right amount of pressure. That will help you get into flow. 000
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 28/11/2025Talk about an Inbox Zero hack! Just open it today. Oh well, I might as well have kept my inbox closed today. Almost all of the emails in there where Black Friday stuff. Delete - Done. 130
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 27/11/2025In the Netherlands we have a saying: "The busier you are, the more you should rest." And there is definitely truth in there. It seems like a waste of time. But it isn’t. Friday, I’ll explain why in the next Hacks & Habits. If you want to read along, subscribe now. 👇 110
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 27/11/2025God, I love my work! Today, I’m helping a client design a workspace that supports her instead of sabotaging her. She’s likely undiagnosed ADHD, stuck in a sea of interruptions. And the worst part? Some of them must be answered! 1/2 120
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 26/11/20254 ways to fuel your focus and counter your ADHD: 1. Get enough sleep. 6 hours is not enough! 2. Take a 5 minute break every hour. Recharging can be that fast, yes. 3. Exercise more. Want dopamine? Get moving. 4. Eat before you crash. Prevent yourself from running on empty. 030
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 25/11/2025How to deal with perfectionists (from a recovering perfectionist). I know exactly how we operate. How we keep tweaking endlessly. How we search for the perfect solution, and wait for the perfect moment. If you're a perfectionist, this will hurt. But you need to hear it. 🧵👇 100
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 17/11/2025I had to take over this morning. My boyfriend wanted to make me coffee, but didn't properly fill the Moka pot. 🤦🏼♀️ Not that that is solved, it's time for some serious work. Have a great week, everybody! #MondayMorning 160
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 15/11/2025Behind on your work because you procrastinated this week? Classic ADHD weekend setup. Don’t let that stop you from spending time with your people this weekend. Connection isn’t a distraction. It’s what refuels your focus. 020
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 14/11/2025Your brain is your superpower. But hey, it’s not a bottomless pit. The more you try to remember, the tougher it is to stay focused. So, put those to-dos and your planning in your calendar & to-do list instead of stuffing them all in your head. 220
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 13/11/2025One of the advantages of being self-employed? You don't have to ask your boss permission to go to the dentist. Not exactly my favorite activity, but important enough to make time for. So, what sneaky personal errands do you squeeze into your workday as a solopreneur? 000
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 13/11/2025A client asked me what the best way is to read your email: - Last message first - Oldest messages first. That is an excellent question. Both have pros and cons, especially if you're behind. What is your favorite approach and why? 020
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 12/11/2025Reducing ADHD Stress is difficult. The good news: You don't need to master your brain. Just learn to master your Inbox. The 50x Smarter Gmail Seminar on November 25th will help you do that in 2 hours. Learn the basics for conquering your Inbox once and for all. 100
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 12/11/2025Nir Eyal said: "If we want to master distraction, we must learn to deal with our desire to escape discomfort." Because distraction isn't just coming from the outside. The noise comes mostly from our response. You can have FOMO. But you don't have to give in. Be brave. 💪 010
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 12/11/2025Beating procrastination is not a character strength or a talent. It's a skill. This is what it looks like: • Break down tasks into small steps. • Make the task less painful. • Reward yourself when you're done. Create a mix of planning and self-care, and you'll beat it. 020
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 11/11/2025That foggy feeling you're experiencing? 😶🌫️ That's not just ADHD. It might also be your brain begging for sleep. No rest = no reset. You’re not lazy. You’re not broken. You’re just overdue for a recharge. 🪫 020
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 11/11/2025Me: ‘Why do I see so many of this guy's posts on my feed?’ Turns out I'm watching his profile right now. 😂 Maybe it's time for a break. 020
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 11/11/2025Decluttering your desk or house means decluttering your brain. But you don't have to clean out your whole house all at once. Just start with something small. Do 5 minutes per day. And see where that will lead you. Set a timer! ⏰😬 010
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 10/11/2025There are some awesome products in the works. Just finished a call with @vuhrmeister for a short brainstorm on @fileo_io. Definitely my cup of tea, having helped numerous neurodivergent people organize their files. He has plenty of challenges ahead, but he will pull it off. 100
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 10/11/2025Email overload isn't just annoying—it's a fast track to burnout. Your brain treats each unread email as an open task. With 1,000+ emails sitting there, you're essentially carrying 1,000+ mental tabs. No wonder you feel exhausted before you even start working. 120
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 07/11/2025I open my mailbox and I'm off into the rabbit hole! Before I know it, 45 precious minutes of my day are gone. If you don't want to get distracted, protect your mind from distraction. It's why I don't read my email before 11 AM. 000
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 06/11/2025When your new landing page gets extremely slow while editing. And you don't know why. 😩 I tried every workaround to speed up things, but this page just kept freezing. So it took me a whole day instead of 2 hours to change it. Thankfully, the page loads fast enough. 😅 020
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 06/11/2025What tools for video captions are there out there? I see a lot of tools for TikTok videos (portrait), but I'm making landscape videos for the 50x Smarter courses. Anything that works for that? 000
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 06/11/2025November and December always feel like autumn mode for me: shorter days, less energy. It affects my focus and productivity. It's just the natural cycle, not laziness. If you have ADHD or are an HSP, you might notice this effect too. My hack: planning smarter. 👇 110
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 05/11/2025“Lost time is never found again,” said Benjamin Franklin. He's right. You can't redo the previous day, relive the past hour or reclaim the seconds you spent reading this. But not every minute has to be 'productive'. Recharging is not a luxury, it's essential. 🔋 110
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 05/11/2025A few years ago, I went to work in a small team after years of solopreneurship. I was quickly reminded why I craved working solo. Sure, I loved being part of the team. But I hated not being able to follow my own rhythm. What about you? 110
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 04/11/2025My client confessed that she had trapped herself in the dopamine rush. Not by chasing likes on social media. But by just keeping busy, rushing from one task to the next. Feeling productive is not the same as being productive. She finally realised it and is ready for a change. 200
Patrice Gorissen @patricegorissen.bsky.social · 04/11/2025Being an solopreneur means dealing with stress. Having ADHD as a solopreneur makes it even worse! What helps is to create a smarter environment. Less clutter => less cognitive load => less stress => more focus Get rid of the endless tabs, notifications & lists. 110
