Its the most frustrating part of the process, honestly.

I think it's kind of messed up that big comics publishers have continued to reprint the works of men who have been extremely harmful to women and that I will face more professional repercussions for expressing that than they ever will because once upon a time they wrote popular characters' stories

wait, how did I not know this

I don't fuck with WhatNot but I wish I was the guy that got banned here. I want to regain that feeling of joy, of triumph when Rob blocked me on twitter.

Still culling through my SDCC photos. Here are a few that I like, so far.

Amanda Lynne as Dark Phoenix. She is gesturing towards the viewer as if she is using her powers.

Captain Britt as Yelena Belova. She's leaning against a wall, somewhat relaxed with a baton in hand.

Dennis (dressed as Gambit) proposes to Kate (dressed as Rogue) in front of the Marvel cosplayer gathering.

Sierra as Rogue in her Savage Land attire, she's making her way through trees and vegetation, with a spear in hand.

I think my interest in collecting comic art has hit an all time low, and it feels weird. I’m guessing my desire to just be out in the world and traveling has taken hold of my decision making when it comes to this hobby.

The last bit of SDCC still standing that’s not an Avengers lamp post banner.

A photo of the Lanterns sign at the downtown trolley station across the San Diego convention center. The sign depicts John Stewart looking very incredulously at Hal Jordan.

I think she's a brilliant choice.

Really, really loved that new Spider-Man movie. I question Peter Parker’s legitimacy as a New Yorker after seeing what pizza he’s been eating.

As someone who enjoys the Eisner nominated @shelfdust.bsky.social, I endorse this post.

Not quite. I my main camera lens is out of commission and I can't really afford to buy a replacement so I'm renting one. I guess its all a matter of that rental arriving in time.

Pat Loika @patloika.bsky.social · 13/07/2026

...I think I'm finally ready for SDCC?

I’m not over this piece of art painted on to the door of this Boba Fett themed car.

This is the door of a Boba Fett themed car. Airbrushed on the side is an image of Boba Fett, as a child, holding the severed head of his father, Jango Fett. Pretty dark to put on the side of your car, TBH

The REAL question is: can I get people to show up and hang out at my bench on Roosevelt Island? LOL

They should just skip releasing any other trailers for Doomsday. And if it drives a particular type of content creator mad, it would be all the better for us.

That is a fine bargain. We have come to an accord.

Need someone to talk to? To accompany you on your quests? To provide muscle and humor? You’ve come to the right person.

Hahaha you are allowed to ask again!

I’ll take kick-ass photos of anyone and depending on what I need from them, I can either provide more photos or more intricate editing work!

His voice was so loud everyone in the store were involuntarily listening to the whole thing.

He kept finding ways for Sonic to win. So that explains who he wants to write hahaha

Pat Loika @patloika.bsky.social · 02/05/2026

Overheard a conversation in line at the comic store, debating who’d win in a race between Sonic the Hedgehog, the Flash, and A-Train from The Boys. The amount of mental gymnastics at play…

Ugh, sorry to hear. Hopefully rooms open up and you'll have an opportunity to get something close.

Pat Loika @patloika.bsky.social · 15/04/2026

Well. SDCC/OnPeak found a way to make an awful hotel booking system even worse this year.

A bona fide win would be quite nice.
