[ #dragonage ] one thing im going to do to a male love interest in the franchise is make him Fluffy

sketch of cullen from dai facing an elf inquisitor, intimately close and smiling. his hair is not slicked back but is instead wavy and loose.

i've also started thinking about my self-portrait (another annual november tradition) and if i may be hashtag vulnerable on this tiny account, i have lost a uhhhh significant amount of weight since getting laid off and i am not looking forward to staring at my own face for an extended time

bunch of iterations last year and i was thrilled with exactly none of them

screenshot from op's art folder with seven different drawings of their icon, including a halloween jack-o-lantern

this is the happiest i've been with my icon in years. last year was really a strug for both the halloween and the regular one

im dying scoob

lineup of four portraits; three are from the game warhammer 40k rogue trader. the fourth is a custom portrait in the same vein, of a pale white haired woman on an abstract green background. she is holding a gun in her lap.

[wip] i have worked and reworked and reworked this stupid thing four hundred times tonight. i should have been recording the amount of times i've just zoomed out and gone "... what if i ..." and scribbled all over the whole thing. but it's getting closer

did march fields of mistria just call my farmer a reckless idiot

colored sketch of march from fields of mistria with my farmer character. he has his arms crossed looking flustered but sighing and saying "I asked around, and olric suggested something to keep you safe in the mines, which...yeah." to which my farmer says "ehe--" looking simultaneously head empty and smug.

this is penelope by the way. i think in a universe with skateboarding she would skateboard.

sketches of a young woman with teal her hair half-up in two buns. there's a sketch of another woman telling her "you are also a witch can you pls dress like one???" to which she is making a finger heart and saying "no"

i didn't nail the likeness in these but i did nail the attitude. queen of fuck offff maaaannnn

three sketches of the elf from the qrp. one of her lightly shrugging at something, another of her whining at the sky, and a third of her collapsed into a crouch and groaning

squinting down again i think it needs to be way more middle gray. i hope you're all enjoying my Notes for Tomorrow Me

000

i also think process wise this was weird i need to start from middle gray and do my big super dark shadows first and then decide if i wanna do three values and just lump the edge light into the highlight or if i wanna go for four

100

i also need to be smarter about referencing theodora's portrait and putting her in more direct opposition to incendia and in a slightly more harmonious pose with calligos hrrrmmmmmMMM

100

i might start from scratch tomorrow because i don't like the aquila on the lapel and this pose is just too timid for someone who intimately understands the power of aura farming

[rogue trader] taking another swing at a custom portrait and man this style is so out of my comfort zone so im trying to value map w/ reference and ouuUUUU brain hurtyyyyyyyy

three in game portraits of rogue traders next to a very rough blocked in b&w sketch of a fourth person; the style is very dramatic, detailed, and realistic and op works in big blocks and simple shapes, help

[dragon age] elfsplorations

two sketches of an elf laughing and then looking off curiously. there is also one large colored sketch of the elf staring at a bottle of wine, reclining.

[rogue trader] playing through commorragh. former dutchess made functionally a demigod forced to wear tank top she pilfered off a corpse, more at 10

two sketches of a woman in a tanktop, lots of bandages; she's armed and despondent

inquisition is just like, too long a game for what i want my Dragon Age Experience to be but i do think about replaying it now and again just for jaws of hakkon, a dlc that really uncorked this fool

patchworker @patchworker.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

every once in a while my (dragon age) inquisitor runs through my head. a totally innocent elf. an upstanding citizen and a devout public servant. definitely and for sure.

three quick sketches of an elf with wavy hair in a tiny ponytail. in one very cartoony image her prey drive is activated, in another sketch she looks exasperated, and in a third, worthy of suspicion

trying to push this lesbian to look slightly more different than her dumbass older brother

a tall woman with a whole lot of curly hair is smiling down at and leaning on a shorter woman with slightly less curly hair

the taller woman who is more hair than woman is smiling skeptically

i can't post them yet bc they are Presents but i have spent the day making stencils for some embroidery projects for a couple of people and i am so excited lmao

i just showed this without context to a work homie and he said "damn that's a sassy little bookworm" which is exactly accurate and i am so glad his design reads.

okay i think this is Something.

a more developed sketch of a wizard casting something that is kicking up a breeze, screenshot out of a drawing program

looking at this in the morning i do still like it a lot but now im asking myself the question of like. what does it mean to "finish" a sketch for me. gonna look at some of my reference later and play with this maybe

patchworker @patchworker.bsky.social · 30/07/2026

drew this one tonight too which is more characteristic i think of his general Wet Cat vibe

same wizard as in the drawing above, looking upwards with concern

"someone's gonna die" "OF FUN" looking-ass best friends reunited after a decade apart and back to their old shenanigans pretty god damn quickly, in the context of their story

[ocs] threw down some expressions last night for dailies and these two are absolutely my favorite

a man with a ponytail is rolling his eyes and scowling

a woman with curly hair has a kind of knife-cat energy

healing the conch is truly a trial and a tribulation though the tragus is the one that got my ass the most

god movie of all time, van helsing. i love any excuse to rewatch that. more women actors need to be paid to Writhe

this is mostly a note For Me but i'm asking friends for movie recs that got big coats in them so i can learn to draw big coats for warhammer. list so far (and taking more suggestions if u got them): hellboy pan's labyrinth inglorious basterds the matrix equilibrium blade runner underworld blade

unfortunately part of the whole "become unselfconscious about art again" thing is to allow people to look at my stuff 😔 as much as i grouse abt fandom culture, i was drawing The Most when i was scribbling rly self indulgent dragon age fanart so. trying to get back to a version of that headspace now.

030

i did really spend my teens and 20s building an SEO panopticon of my own making and i think if anything, my career collapsing under my feet in a way that is completely out of my control has really demonstrated that that was stupid and i should have just been having fun this whole time x) oops
