And how they've been interpreted throughout the years too.

Screenshot of a frame of Semaphore's personal blimp from the intro of the anime Dommel (1988), an anime adaptation of longrruning Franco-Belgian comic strip Cubitus (1962).

Screenshot of the overworld map of the Origins (PS1) version of Final Fantasy I, a Warrior standing to the left of the Lufenian airship found in the Ryukahn Desert.

Inbetween frame of the zoom-in on the Egg Carrier in the intro to Sonic Adventure (1998) - a massive black, red and yellow aerial battleship shaped generally like a harrier is seen flying in the clouds, with the angle instantly shifting to Eggman leaning above the roof of the bridge.

"You're my favorite." Happy (late) birthday @trinketfox.bsky.social and 3rd anniversary to Rocket Chip! rocketchip.thecomicseries.com/archive/

A traditional black and white (with colored highlights) sketch of Rocket (an anthropomorphic alien cat mechanic) and Chip (a toylike robot shaped vaguely like a dog) from the webcomic Rocket Chip (https://rocketchip.thecomicseries.com/archive/) laying together outstretched in a field, flipped side by side (Rocket facing).

Rocket has her paws in the air having the time of her life, whereas Chip has her rainbow tubelike arms reaching towards her locked chest compartment, similarly feeling elated; both Rocket's heart monitor and Chip's own heart are colored pink and shine brightly.

For the most part right now, a good bit of social science / (queer + neurodivergent) history... learning about the world...

Cover for Transgender History (3rd Edition) by Susan Stryker, depicting silhouettes of people in various colors overlapping and overlaid over a monochrome background.

Missed this bunny so glad to see them in some form once again...

Screenshot from the game Nintendo Badge Arcade (2014 - 2024) with its mascot, the Arcade Bunny, transmogrified into a real rabbit using the same stock photo as OP's post; one of the last badges made in circulation, "So Real" is highlighted in orange on a brown background, coupled with additional stock photos of curry and onigiri.

Late birthday doodle which may or may not be related to recent events

Patch (our rabbit singlet sona) holding a plate of strawberry shortcake with a candle embedded in it.

An arrow pointing to them with the text "computer broke" sitting above - reminders of this incident show such as some soot visible on their right cheek, and a loose string on their scarf having caught aflame.

In the meantime: fairly early rough drafts of our sonas...

Sketch drawing of two anthropomorphic rabbits, one on the left a living scarecrow wearing a sweater and overalls representing Sue, the other on the right a living plushie wearing a vest, poofy shirt and pants pertaining to Quinn.

Inspired by @taffywabbit.bsky.social's recent stream, ranking Pokemon instead by how toy / toy-adjacent they are! (this took... a quite a bit of time, surprisingly)

Screenshot of a tier list ranking Pokemon by how toy or toy-like they are (including: plushies, toy soldiers, figurines or any other related thematic through lines).

The top most tiers represent Pokemon that are canonically living toys or are otherwise based on toys or related objects, the lower tiers representing those that aren't toys but just so happen to resemble toys due to design motifs or otherwise loosely related, and the last tier representing Pokemon that are related to any of the Pokemon from the above sections but drop the toy motif (almost) entirely and are based on animals that are dangerous / are already incredibly dangerous to some capacity.

We absolutely *do* remember seeing the cereal when it was circulating all those years ago too... sad because we seen it quite a few times but never decided to pick it out for whatever reason 😔

Oh goodness they have hatched!!!

Edit of the previous drawing but with both eggs having hatched and two familiar-like creatures, the left an imp and the right an angel, floating above the remnant eggshells and with an impact border behind them. There's obsidian and petal-like pieces of eggshell beneath each of them respectively.

Sorry for not getting to anything for Easter this month, we ha- wait a minute what are these conspicuously themed eggs doing here?

Drawing of two virtual pet inspired eggs, the left one bearing an emblem of the sun and the right the moon, both suspiciously having rabbit ears.

The left egg is lightly shaded and vaguely fallen angel themed with a crimson palette, sharper shapes and obsidian wings and adorned with a pattern of a rose on top, the right egg is a conventional and non-shaded angel themed egg with a pink-purplish pastel coloring with rounder shapes and cloud-like wings.

Breaking somewhat out of hiatus again to show this sketch (somewhere around 2019 - 2020?) of Sonic from our old sketchbook.

We even did our own evolution + Jogress path together and it works really nicely! (with Quinn's Perfect stage of course still pending... 💦)

Each starts out with Angoramon (Sue) and Lopmon (Quinn) and their prior Baby I and II stages (the slime-like Pyonmon and Bosamon, and Cocomon and Chocomon, respectively) before evolving further into Tailmon and BlackTailmon, Adult stage Digimon each of Holy and Dark affinity resembling cats. Sue's Tailmon evolves further into the Perfect stage Baalmon (a tome and dual wielding assassin with cursed ofuda lining the insides of its coat) whilst Quinn's BlackTailmon's Perfect stage is indeterminate, before finally they Jogress (fuse) into Duftmon, a Digimon that can interchange between a vaguely robotic general taking aspects from 18th - 19th century French and German nobility (base form) and a more bestial form resembling both winged lions and leopards (Leopard Mode).

Mine and Sue's results from those Digimon quizzes going around right now! Crest: uquiz.com/quiz/oUlWYM/... Partner: uquiz.com/quiz/hJuDpy/...

Quinn's partner result of Lopmon, a small chocolate brown and pink rabbit Digimon.

Quinn's Crest result of Kindness, the ninth and final Crest from Digimon Adventure 02. Its symbol is that of a stylized rose, with the flower itself also resembling a full moon.

Sue's partner result of Angoramon, a large furry yellow, green and brown rabbit Digimon.

Sue's Crest result of Hope, one of the original seven Crests from Digimon Adventure (1999). Its symbol is that of a stylized sun casting a beam downward.

The Mag*psies, or atleast Ionia (who had more story focus in 64 it seems) were originally supposed to be fortune tellers, yet it was cut in favor of the "magic androgynous drag performers" theme when the game was near finalized with the names just being unfortunate leftovers.

Since it's March 28th: happy birthday to @peytonpartyhorn.bsky.social's Jo Parva!!

Haven't shared anything in a while (tired + sick weh) but kinda wanted to make the rest of this week warmup week, starting off with koboldfactory.bsky.social's Nick and another rough draft of Patch's design(s).

Drawing of Nick (anthropomorphic space pirate and radio host) pulling off a cheeky smile and throwing a thumbs up.

Drawing of Patch (fusion of Sue and Quinn) in an harlequin / mime themed alternate form, pantomiming in place.

No one faults you: Cosmic Eternity (and the reprise of Sonic Boom w/ the US soundtrack) were absolutely perfect closers to CD, and it's hard to blame anyone when the Classic and Adventure eras were so beautiful to boot.

Quick sketches we made of ourselves for PluralKit icons.

☀️): Sawyer (me; pale orange colored librarian plush rabbit in winter wear) holding onto a granny smith apple with their left hand - they seem to be a little annoyed, but not too bothered, with being compared to it.

🌒): Quinn (a light purple colored plush rabbit - me!) leaning forward a tad bit excitedly, behind a flat colored background.

I can't quite think of anything at the top of my head either, but maybe birds? Frigatebirds and birds-of-paradise especially would all be really fun to play around with palette and shapewise...

Feliz Navidad, and a (belated) Christmas gift to @aurasisle.net of Chris making a last minute dash shopping for one final gift for the season! (alt. version w/o background included)

Flat colored drawing of Chris hurrying towards the exit of a shopping mall during the festive season, with a single large gift in tow; a window sits next to the right side of the entryway, basking the interior with the moonlit winter.

Flat colored drawing of Chris holding a large gift in a mostly featureless white void, sans shadow underneath.
