picking up a rolleiflex 2.8e tomorrow if everything goes well. outside looks beat, but the optics/mechanics are fine according to the seller. price is a total steal

hey man, i know it's rough right now but please put that color grade away (you know, that one. blue) maybe try setting the black point a little lower than middle gray and don't be scared of that contrast slider me and william eggleston are very worried about you, we miss you (and the colors)

i'm now part of a friend's wedding photography portfolio. really should have worn something other than a hawaiian shirt and bright green running shoes (at least she could crop those)

110

lazy librarian @patchouli.bsky.social · 13/04/2025

240

lazy librarian @patchouli.bsky.social · 03/04/2025

010

lazy librarian @patchouli.bsky.social · 26/03/2025

i'll get to posting photos soon, don't worry, but before i do that, can anyone tell me they know what i mean when i say oscarbait but for music?

100

lazy librarian @patchouli.bsky.social · 18/03/2025

thought a camera was fucked, but no, it was my scanning setup leading to funky artifacts from reflections on very dense negs. always helps check the thing itself rather than worry for days. ah well. off to buy some extremely black paint

applying to more jobs and i get the vibe that the only people who have demand for people with a phd are supervillains

100

lazy librarian @patchouli.bsky.social · 14/03/2025

lazy librarian @patchouli.bsky.social · 06/03/2025

the czech guy who made the "new" plastic fomapan containers that are somehow chewing up my film pullers while remaining entirely impervious to them needs to be sent straight to tartarus for some ironic ass punishment

110

lazy librarian @patchouli.bsky.social · 06/03/2025

i really want a TLR, is there any point to buying a rolleiflex? it feels like it's probably not worth the money spent

accidentally nuked my personal wiki while setting up something else. i can recover the database, so it's fine but this is a good point to switch to another knowledge management system, i feel. do you have any suggestions for journaling/knowledge management?

110

lazy librarian @patchouli.bsky.social · 10/02/2025

for more than a decade now, there has been a minor celebrity from toledo, ohio who somehow uses my email address when signing up to things mistakenly at times, so i get a weird partial glimpse into their life every now and again

100

lazy librarian @patchouli.bsky.social · 02/01/2025

2025 will be the year of FilmLab and capture one i suppose

010

lazy librarian @patchouli.bsky.social · 01/01/2025

so, i've been using lightroom and negative lab pro to invert scans taken with my mirrorless cam but i ~really~ want to get away from paying adobe any money. do any of you use an alternative workflow? #filmphotography #filmisnotdead

210

lazy librarian @patchouli.bsky.social · 30/12/2024

cleaning out the lab i found an old (pre 2010) tin of diafine.... kinda.......... tempted.........

000

lazy librarian @patchouli.bsky.social · 30/12/2024

updated my development routine a little, i always thought photoflo was placebo, but it's actually quite nice

100

lazy librarian @patchouli.bsky.social · 26/12/2024

finished off the last roll of film, just before going back. feels weird shooting hp5 at 400

110

lazy librarian @patchouli.bsky.social · 25/12/2024

it's super nice and snowy here and all i have is iso 400 + 800 film, wish me luck

170

lazy librarian @patchouli.bsky.social · 09/12/2024

i'm really not feeling any inspiration for photography on the day to day because of the constant darkness, but i am also itching to take photos. what's everyone's favorite things to shoot this time of the year? #filmphotography #photography #believeinfilm

140

lazy librarian @patchouli.bsky.social · 06/12/2024

Oh yeah 😎 prague shot on hp5@400, printed on fomaspeed 312 #filmphotography #analogphotography #filmisnotdead

so i developed a roll of kodak t-max p3200 yesterday, in a way i hadn't done before. for those curious: EI1600 and develop in rodinal 1+50 for 11:30. the negs came out really nicely, good contrast, grain does not look too bad. ultimate truth will be revealed when i do my scans anyways..

240

lazy librarian @patchouli.bsky.social · 06/11/2024

need to have this on my main timeline

020

lazy librarian @patchouli.bsky.social · 06/11/2024

was in such a slump with taking photos, but i did a shoot yesterday that turned out really nice

Photography tip: If you cant find your rocket blower, in a pinch your anal douche will do the job just fine

Got a flash for myself, considering i mainly got into photography inspired through portrait this was way overdue
