Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 23/11/2025When I saw it was 3k I was kinda tempted, but I'm sure it's way more than that now 000
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 03/09/2025My article in Living Lutheran is live! It's kinda surreal, and a good reminder for me to write more. www.livinglutheran.org/2025/09/a-mi...livinglutheran.orgA ministry born on TikTok - Living LutheranAn ELCA pastor shares his experiences and what he learned from navigating social media as ministry. 2162
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 29/06/2025Also just a note, I'm not Jewish in any way. More power to you if that's the case, just not a part of my identity. 😂 0220
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 29/06/2025Remember that antisemitism will always walk hand in hand with the Christian right. 2322
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 06/06/2025If I was to create online courses, what would you want to see? 6120
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 22/05/2025Again, not doubting that anti-Asian racism existed, I just don't see any connection between what I said and what you're saying I said. 370
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 22/05/2025I can't find anything that verifies that phrase being associated with anti-Asian sentiment 120
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 21/05/2025Fully agree! We went from a neighborhood policing model to a cops on patrol in hostile territory model 1130
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 21/05/2025I say all this as a car owner, who would love to not own a car. Being in rural Wisconsin, it's just not feasible if we want to see our parents or siblings ever again haha. Deprioritize cars! Prioritize walking and other modes of transit! Get out our the box! 1490
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 21/05/2025Don't like the lack of local food options? We used to all eat locally, buying from neighbors which increased social capitol, but once again cars centralize our food production, at the cost of quality and community connection. 1430
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 21/05/2025Don't like modern capitalism? Cars enable (and encourage) consumers to shop at massive nationwide stores, where they get the best deals, and never have to have the inconvenience of walking somewhere, or talking to a member of their community. It encouraged this raging individualism we now have. 1431
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 21/05/2025Don't like racism? Cars allowed white flight from mixed race neighborhoods. There is no redlining unless white people can drive into work. Cars directly allowed modern segregation. 0413
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 21/05/2025Don't feel comfortable exercising? When giant metal boxes can cut you down anytime you step outside your door, it's hard to feel safe on the street, the main way any of us can get around. We used to bike everywhere, but this dropped after cars took over our infrastructure. 1400
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 21/05/2025Don't have money? We used to have very good public transit and intercity trains, but the car lobby had us defund both of those in the 40s-70s. Now everyone has to spend a ton of money on individual cars to get anywhere. 1490
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 21/05/2025Don't have a walkable neighborhood? It's because death machines fly by at killing speed down every street, and crossing said street literally risks your life every time. 1570
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 21/05/2025Don't know your neighbors? Many of us have garages, and never get within speaking distance 1480
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 21/05/2025I'm convinced that a majority of our social problems come back to cars. 1317724
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 14/05/2025I'm not saying it would solve all our problems, but we should double NASA's budget. 1170
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 14/05/2025The reason folks are pushing back on you is that people of color, who were approved to come to the US, were denied entry by the Trump administration. However, "refugees" who have questionable status as such are being welcomed because they're white. Those are factual statements. 310
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 13/05/2025I'm so proud of all the work we've done to welcome refugees in the US, it's one of the most Christian things we've done as a profoundly harmful nation. It's shameful that now those resources are only being used to resettle white Afrikaners, just embarrassing. 4432
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 08/05/2025Fingers crossed the next pope chooses a cool name, such as Pope Hilarius the II. 2251
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 02/05/2025Y'all notice how now that there's somebody with credible anti-Semitic allegations, the right is suddenly quiet? 2151
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 20/04/2025A Happy Easter to you and yours! Also, a friendly reminder that Christ did not rise from the grave for us to keep oppressing marginalized people. 17313
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 17/04/2025Wishing you all a sacred and contemplative Maundy Thursday. 0160

Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 09/04/2025Every person engaging in the new cruelty to immigrants is only a few generations removed from being an immigrant themselves. We love to shut the door behind us. 24810

Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 03/04/2025My daily prayer has been asking "where are you calling me Lord" again and again. 2342
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 01/04/2025Praying for our leaders in the US, that God would guide them or replace them. 3581

Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 27/03/2025There are certain very rare situations where violence might be an appropriate response, but it should only be used to protect life. Preemptive violence is almost always sinful and unethical. 0180
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 27/03/2025I don't want anyone to act with violence towards anyone else. I have no intent or desire to act with violence towards federal agents. 1211
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 27/03/2025I just finished making a video that may be misinterpreted, so let me put this out before they go live at 9:30am (cst) I think violence is abhorrent, and we should do everything we can to avoid it. I also believe Christ calls us to compassion, especially towards marginalized people. 1331

Reposted by Pr. Paul DreesTrey Ferguson @pastortrey05.com · 25/03/2025This is a concentration camp. There is a concentration camp in my county. The administration is in the process of deputizing & converting state & local “correctional” facilities into concentration camps as well. The presence of concentration camps speaks largely about a society’s barbarity.usatoday.comImmigrant women describe 'hell on earth' in ICE detentionNo shower for days, cameras trained on the toilet, women crammed into cells 'like sardines,' among the allegations. 371558538

Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 22/03/2025So I've finally decided what I'm giving up for lent. I deleted almost all social media apps off my phone (save Bluesky). I'll report in and see how it feels! 1260
Pr. Paul Drees @pastorpauldrees.bsky.social · 11/03/2025I've faced this as well, random bans for unspecified reasons. Last night during my tiktok live, I was given a community guidelines violation with no explanation.
