Prostate cancer is a silent emergency in CAR. Between 2020–2025, IPB tested 4,985 men; 77% showed PSA ≥100 ng/ml — signs of advanced disease. Limited specialists, no cancer center, strong taboos. Early screening from age 45 is essential. #PublicHealth #IPBangui

Recent defenses at the University of Bangui highlighted IPB's academic role. Many candidates had completed their internships within IPB laboratories, basing their work on IPB-generated data on AMR, paediatric infections, dyslipidaemia, dermatology, pathology and drug-resistant tuberculosis.

A 12-month collaboration between IPB & Belgian partners @itmantwerp.bsky.social, funded by the Gates Foundation, will modernize HAT surveillance using PCR, dry-sheet serology and real-time digital data collection. Goal: establish a reliable epidemiological picture and strengthen national capacities.
