im struggling to design a character (explodes)

Fable 🌈 @pastelfable.bsky.social · 22/10/2024

my unsolicited wuwa and genshin opinions (please dont take them seriously)

text in image:
these are just my personal opinions as arando gamer(tm) please dont take them seriously

WUWA
+ gameplay is entertaining
+ movement is MUCH smoother
+ exploration rewards are really good
- early character designs are samey
- story is okay
+ echo (artifact) farming isn't a pain
+ almost all characters are still usable
+ very generous with gacha currency rewards

GENSHIN
- gameplay can get boring
- movement is janky
- exploration rewards suck ASS
+ more variety in character design
+ story is more engaging
- I HATE ARTIFACT FARMING I HATE ARTIFACT FARMING
- so many characters are bad and barely usable
- getting gacha currency is hard for F2P (free to play)

both games suffer from having a lack of diversity in character design (kuro historically has a better track record, though they suffer from gray skin disease) (pointing to an image of Sophia from PGR), genshin has the advantage of being out for longer and having more regions to base clothing designs off of

since genshin has been out for longer the story has had more time to build up and become more interesting. wuwa is still in its early stages and will likely get better with time the same way genshin did

genshin has a severe lack of character skinds while kuro does a really good job with releasing skins in PGR so i would expect WUWA to also have more skins

wuwa character balancing might get worse over time, since its a new game theres not much powercreep

if i had to choose only one game to play, i would play wuwa
i still like genshin but wuwa has the advantage of being a newer game with more updated Stuff(tm)
