Y'know, after playing Chapter 5, it becomes very obvious in hindsight that the focus of this panel was the flower, not Asgore Like yeah, he's the Flower Man, but Flowery is literally stuck in a glass container Very clever red herring :3

The latest Deltarune newsletter has a lot of neat stuff in it, but this is easily my favourite part

The golden flower, "Gold", was able to become his own "Mary Sue" character in the form of "Flowery". He's trying to be "perfect"... But he doesn't know anything about what it's like to really live. His interpretation of "the ideal man" is totally alien and over-the-top. He looks like a generic anime guy and is far taller than a normal human. It's probable he chose his own theme song and plays it himself somehow... which, by the way, is basically a crappy, miseremembered version of only 8 seconds of the Full H**se theme song. And he must think this is awesome.

There's also the fact that he's inexplicably changed to be a tiger, even though his main series counterpart is a thylacine (aka the Tasmanian tiger), which is a very different animal
