07/10) Ready or Not 2: Here I Come I put watching this movie off because I was worried it would be much worse than the original, and yeah, the writing gets cringey, there's too much exposition, and it even contradicts the first movie sometimes... Unfortunately the ending was just as good- worth it

06/10) The Purge (2013) I mean, it's fine. Railroaded writing and they spell out the message for you before anything even happens, but it's effective enough as a thriller, I'll give it that.

01/10) Weapons (2025) Yep, we're officially in Spooky Month. This is one you just kinda have to go in completely blind for the peak experience (just fyi there's occasionally pretty brutal gore, even if overall levels are tame) it's no masterpiece but pretty damn enjoyable to piece things together

01/10) Obsession (2026) There were parts that were a bit contrived imho, but overall I really enjoyed the slow burn, tho I'm also a bit confused about the reaction this movie has gotten on social media since it seems pretty clear cut with an opposite message of what it's been accused of glorifying-

30/09) A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) Absolute classic, that... is another in a long list of old movies that kinda bored me. The action scenes were great, but I ended up waiting for the next one more often than not. Also, extremely confusing ending-

20/09) Resident Evil 3 (2020) Fun game, both the exploration and chase segments were great, but they really scared me at the beginning there that they were going to merge the two for the rest of the game, which would have tanked my enjoyment- Also yes I'm this impressionable, always have been

Parximew @parximew.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

19/09) Resident Evil (2026) Genuinely fantastic movie, I think the pacing and atmosphere is perfect as a movie adaptation of what I've played of the games (not much fyi) and I highly recommend it for any even just general horror fans, it's a self contained story that explains everything it needs to

Parximew @parximew.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

19/09 Metroid Dread Oh my god.

100

Parximew @parximew.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

14/09) Metroid Fusion This is definitely an easier entry in both linearity and difficulty, but my main issue was with the controls, which felt a little awkward at certain points Still, really cool story, this is obviously where the arc that leads to Ravenous starts, and I can't wait to play Dread.

100

12/09) Super Metroid I mean, yeah, it's iconic and beloved for a reason, I don't have anything new to say here

30/08) Coyote vs. Acme I was with it until they kind of went back on a main message at the very end, avoiding spoilers it just kind of felt narratively boring to pull that out after everything and have it work somehow- But overall yeah good movie glad its actually real

Parximew @parximew.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

Also, yeah, not going to put many MCU projects I've seen before on my media thread. Mostly because, as much as I enjoy the Infinity Saga, it's just a bunch of opinions I already gave a few years ago flooding everyone's timelines- I'll praise my favourites and dig into post-Endgame stuff I skipped

000

Parximew @parximew.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

11/08) The Incredible Hulk (2008) I can definitely see why this was forgotten, it's not a bad movie at all but just doesn't feel anywhere close to anything else even in phase one- like, I can't even tell if it was retconned or not, nothing that happens here is relevant, even the origin is offscreen

100

Parximew @parximew.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

07/08) Eyes of Wakanda I decided I would see how much of the MCU I could watch before Avengers Doomsday, and I also decided to watch it in chronological order so the quality would be less frontloaded... unfortunately the first project in timeline order is an actually really good animated anthology-

Parximew @parximew.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

01/08) Spider-Man: Brand New Day Social media is somehow managing to both overrate this movie and misunderstand all of its more nuanced moments. Don't get me wrong, I still think it's incredible, as good or even better than No Way Home, but I could do without it explaining its message to the camera

100

Parximew @parximew.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

28/07) Splatoon Raiders I've been pretty pessimistic lately, but every issue I thought I had with this game turned out to either be figuratively nothing or literally because it didn't actually exist, it's incredible how incredible this game is, and I wouldn't change a single thing about it.

11/07) Minions and Monsters I'm not entirely sure why everyone's saying this is "The Good One," it's about as Fine as any other Illumination movie, but I did get to see Dort on the big screen, so that counts for something I suppose

09/07) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (96 Course Marathon) Yeah, I... think I like this game better than World. I don't even dislike the controversial parts of World, or think it's a worse game, the selection in 8 Deluxe just appeals to me more, and there's 3x more of it- Also, World's trick system scares me.

6/7) One Piece: Egghead I forgot to add this to the thread, just like @gilgo-underscore.bsky.social and I forgot to watch it for like a year Good arc though, I liked the part where they all repeatedly did a funny little dance

It's so hilariously easy to tell when a secondhand game isn't genuine in english speaking pal regions, because most of these people will just slap the first google image result that looks correct onto it, ESRB rating and all

24/06) DELTARUNE Chapter 5 Maybe my new favourite chapter, and I LOVE chapter 2, but this one just has so much going for it, to the point I once again find myself struggling to get anything out, especially while avoiding spoilers, so just, yeah, good.

Parximew @parximew.bsky.social · 26/06/2026

20/06) Toy Story 5 These movies are enjoyable and at this point I don't understand why people still reject the idea of more being made. With that being said, I'm getting increasingly annoyed with how dense the humans are, I actively struggled to suspend my disbelief in this one

Anyone else get really hungry but it's also so damn hot that you have to sit in front of a fan for like 20 minutes first because you're already overheating and if food even enters your system in that state you'll explode or whatever

17/06) Zenless Zone Zero: A Sleepwalker's Confession (Season 3, Chapter 1) The first half was resolving plotpoints a bit too fast, but overall already a huge improvement from Season 2, it definitely feels like more of what I fell in love with the game for in the first place.

16/06) Forza Horizon 5 Bought it again on PS5 just to see what it was like with the Dualsense (it was fine, right trigger had no pushback and left had too much tho) I think this is still my favourite of the series, but each game has something uniquely majorly wrong with it tbh

Fun fact: I've been following the director since the late 2010s and when the pilot was coming out I told myself I would watch it all at once when it was over. I saw a few spoilers, but overall lasted long enough to watch episodes 1-7 yesterday and go see the final act at my LOCAL cinema today.

04/06) The Amazing Digital Circus I liked it a lot, including the finale. It's no masterpiece, but it very publicly was never supposed to be. I laughed at the jokes, fell in love with the characters and was satisfied with the ending. It's okay for a thing to be just good sometimes.
