Yeah that’s really weird. There’s probably some bug in how the game chooses the main menu P1 controller at game start. We’ll keep weeding out the bugs in the coming weeks. Stoked to hear you’re enjoying the game 😊 Hope you can get the most of it even with the controller issues.

We are investigating this issue for the next patch. It’s a strange one.

Parta Games 👉 Choppa: Rescue Rivals is OUT NOW! @partagames.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

Is this in handheld mode? There’s a weird bug where it can’t detect a controller in handheld mode with some controller configurations. Try to detach joycons or connect a pro controller. Reset the game by starting some other game. If that fails try in docked mode.

There are other fixes included, but most importantly it fixes the hard crashes happening in Chapter 4 boss fight and the level before it while carrying the payload.

We really should’ve caught this in our internal testing, but we didn’t. It was introduced in the day0 patch with one of the last additions to the game. Eternally ashamed.

It has come to our attention that Choppa: Rescue Rivals has a late game crash that hardlocks your progress on the Nintendo Switch. We are working with Nintendo to get the patch out as soon as possible. Unfortunately we have no control over the cert process timeline at the moment.

Apparently TikTok tries to ”persuade” you to spend more money by making sure that none of your videos after a single paid promotion will get free algorithm support. They basically killed the whole account. #gamedev #indiedev #marketing #tiktok

Honestly if you want to play the game but not pay the price then please pirate it. Do not give any money to these scammers. Unless you explicitly want to flip off the dev team.

My inbox is full of key resellers posing as streamers. I’ve fallen for the trap a few times already so the only way I can reasonably prevent this is not to send any keys for e-mail queries. It’s just too much of a hassle to try to sort through them all.

It’s an interesting dance how these subreddits about making games are wholly uninterested about games being made.

If you plan a game or any product with just a ”fire and forget” strategy then I don’t know what to tell you. You need to ship updates, additional content, port it to other platforms. I don’t know how this isn’t obvious to everyone.
