Book reviews kinda make my day (the positve ones anyway...the troll-ish ones...man do they ever sting - and those are the ones that stick in the memory).

A few International Literacy Day activities for you to do with the young readers in your life... - Read a book together - Read a recipe out loud and cook together - Write a story together - Play a card came for pattern recognition Other suggestions?... #InternationalLiteracyDay #LiteracyDay

A few International Literacy Day activities for you to do with the young readers in your life...

- Read a book together (out loud, taking turns reading pages/paragraphs, them reading to you)
- Read a recipe out loud and cook together (I used to make one of my kids read the "dry ingredients" and the other the "wet ingredients" so it would be equal - when the third child came along...it became a take turns times three situation)
- Write a story together (choose a name, a setting, a problem and then figure out a solution)
- Play a card came for pattern recognition (uno, go fish, memory)

Honestly guys, trying is scary.

Whether it’s starting something new, making a change, or simply doing the thing…there’s always a chance it won’t go the way you hoped.

Reminder to myself today (and maybe you too):

**If I didn't try - it would nag at me

11 days to the release of About a Home Child...cheers to everyone who has done the scary thing.
