Establishment PH has no idea how to effectively communicate in a changed world. There are some people swimming against the current in PH obviously but there are also people who truly should never be in leadership and that’s going to hurt us all. Again. Some people just fail up I guess.

knowing what a history and physical exam should entail and watching fully-done-with-training doctors skip crucial parts of the exam is a weird thing. Like, you couldn't be bothered to do a 2nd year med student exam, but you insisted I come into your office for an in-person visit. Why? [rhetorical]

A few years back, a local medical business punished one of my very best doctors for advocating for himself, his staff, and his patients to have safer care with PPE and virtual visits. He was removed from outpatient clinical duties. Everyone knew it was punitive. It didn't make any difference.

My MDs in Jan. 2025 regarding needed surgery: The good news is it's not urgent! May 2026: Finally scheduled! But now, in addition to risks of COVID, flu, rsv, & Measles because no preventative PPE in healthcare, there's a brewing shitstorm of human-to-human transmissible hantavirus because cruises.

A local medical business has these social questions they ask now randomly before some appointments. One set is about whether I (the patient) have any issues due to taking care of a disabled person. They don't ask if I (the patient) am disabled & if my needs are being met.

🎯“close contact” is a subjective distance not a mechanism for what is happening in that distance. It’s an old euphemism that doesn’t mean much. If health leaders want to prevent worse outcomes they need to be clear about the few reasonable transmission possibilities and then interrupt them.
