As a token of appreciation, I decided to go back and start the series and binge my way into the latest season. And boy will I tell you how bad the show was, lol. Unless you’re used to the style of Tyler Perry’s shows, then any random person watching will see this show as a show about lunatics with lookalike celebrity actors. The final episode premiered today and will air later tonight on BET. I got the chance to watch it and wow.

When I hear someone reference SkyShowtime, I sometimes forget that it exists. The European-only joint venture between Paramount and Comcast to bring the two flagship services, Paramount+ and the US-only Peacock, together is struggling. This isn't new. But every other news about the service, not about content, inches closer and closer to them raising the white flags. Today, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that the two companies were reviewing their strategic options for SkyShowtime, including shutting down the service entirely.

The animation pact that pre-existed the Paramount merger with Netflix and Skydance Animation is over. Deadline first reported this news. Netflix will still release the upcoming movies Brad Bird’s Ray Gunn and the Rich Moore-directed untitled Jack and the Beanstalk project. Skydance Animation, run by the former (yet still controversial) Pixar lead John Lasseter and President Holly Edwards, is a standalone label under Paramount Pictures, independent from the Jennifer Doge-led Paramount Animation.

In a surprise move by Paramount+, several content previously available on the service have returned after being removed back in 2023. These content were removed at the time where Paramount was struggling to hit profitability with Paramount+ and these content were considered “low rated” by the executives.
