A majority of Americans don't understand what's happening to our water right now. Data centers are being built near major water tables, polluting/guzzling a finite resource we depend on for survival. Corps are being deliberately quiet about it so people outside affected communities stay in the dark.

Limontaur Beach, Point Reyes. I took an animal tracking class out here the other day and it was utterly eye-opening. I can't wait to share some tips here soon! The most exciting tracks we found were the Tule Elk, endemic to California and these days, specifically Point Reyes. #nature #ecology

I went freelance after the company I worked for denied me hybrid remote options. My job requires almost zero personal interaction and I wasted so much time in traffic for nothing. They also claimed they were a green business but forced people to drive in full time. I'm so happy working at home.

She has always been a 2nd mom to me. She is strong and self sufficient. She inspired me to grow and preserve food, stay connected to the natural world, and to always be learning. She educated herself in health to help my grandfather's rheumatoid arthritis. I still need to learn to sew.

She lived in a farming village in Romania until 11 when her town was under threat of being bombed. Her family was forced to migrate to Germany where her parents were from. It was winter and they only had horses and the clothes on their backs. She had 10 younger siblings to help look after.

I love how many old wood water towers are scattered throughout Sonoma County. My first home on my own at 19 was one of these converted into an apartment. They were used as water towers between the 1850s and 1930s. #believeinfilm #filmphotography #nightphotography

Fenweh is the German word for wanderlust, and possibly the most beautiful word in the language. My dad's side of the family is from Germany, I grew up listening to my grandparents speak it. It often sounds harsh and sharp, but the word Fenweh is so simple yet mystical. #filmphotography #photography

Yes Cinestill is just Kodak movie film with the rem jet layer removed. Same with Cinestill 800T except it is tungsten balanced and particularly good with pushing. I highly recommend trying it out for urban night photography, though I've had a lot of fun with it in daylight as well.

The song of the Red Winged Blackbird is one of my favorites. I grew up in a mobile home park with a creek behind it (yes I'm a little bit trailer trash) so it's pure nostalgia and peace for me to hear them just as I did so often as a child playing at that creek. #birds #nature
