Here’s what I wrote to Newsom yesterday. There’s an embarrassing typo that I fixed in the alt text. It’s past time to start telling Dems to do the right thing. But we have to keep it up.

SHAME ON YOU.

You are giving a platform to a known white supremacist who supports removing rights from everyone except right (THIS IS A TYPO AND SHOULD BE “RICH”) white men -- like yourself. This man promotes false conspiracy theories that only helped elect Trump -- and now look where we are. You call this podcast a debate. It's capitulation. It's cowering. It's wrong.

Your about-face (if you ever actually supported it) on trans lives is disgusting. You are not a Democrat. You are a rich white man who only says and does things that will benefit you directly.

I'm not surprised by this move (2025 has solidified my status as a cynic) but I am SICKENED that you would choose to do this. This will lead to deaths. Those deaths will be on your head, and the heads of every single despicable person who chose to put their bottom line before human rights.

I hope your party votes you out. I hope you disappear into the pages of history.
