Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 15/07/2026That's the Taoiseach. I'm referring to Catherine Connolly, the president. 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 15/07/2026Same to you, except replace "result" with "election fraud." 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 15/07/2026Maybe it's right out of the Trump world, but Ireland hand-counted the election that chose their leftist president. 110
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 15/07/2026Now I'm blocked by the Pink poster. Her last question was how did she try to shut me down. The answer is by flinging insults. It's what people often do when they don't have good answers. Election fraud is a real problem. It happens abroad. It can happen here. Don’t shut down the discussion. 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 15/07/2026Yet social media posters are what you claim as your source of expertise. 000
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 15/07/2026You can't think of ways around that? But yes, I am from a mostly rural state. 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 15/07/2026Well sometimes people do just ask questions. It's how we verify that we're on the right track. You could shut the questions down as you want if you were to deliver a coherent answer instead of launching ad hominem attacks. 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 15/07/2026who is exploring social media opinions and resources. 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 15/07/2026I'm only asking for a coherent reason why you’re so sure that the 2024 election wasn't fraudulent. Is it because you feel the auditing system is sufficient? You followed a handful of social media commentators on the topic and now you claim to be an expert yourself, yet you shut down anyone else... 200
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026Obviously there are gaps in your knowledge too. 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026The 2nd paper is two decades old, relies on machines no longer in use, fails to account for more recent concerns about sources of fraud, uses small sample sizes, and nevertheless shows that in most cases hand-counting is actually quite accurate. 200
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026That page links to multiple sources. So far, I looked at two, an undated paper from Rice University and a January 2004 paper from researchers at MIT and Harvard. The 1st doesn't examine hand-counting of paper ballots. It examines hand-counting of VVPAT ballots, which aren't secure... 110
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026Cheaper elections aren't necessarily better elections. The link you provided links to another page when referring to accuracy of hand counting: votingrightslab.org/2024/02/27/b...votingrightslab.orgBallot Hand Counts Lead to InaccuracyThe growing push in some states to ban electronic tabulation machines and force the hand counting of ballots. 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026It's called crowdsourcing and open source code. It's useful. 110
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026Why not? Because everyone is stupider than you? 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026I have the right to ask questions. Why do you want to shut me down? What I do know a little about is how propaganda works. The argument that questioning election results plays into their hands, in fact, itself plays into their hands. 200
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence of fraud. But evidence has indeed been offered and you dismissed all of it. Hypothetically, is there any form of evidence that would persuade you to accept an instance of election fraud? A random hand-count that contradicted results, perhaps? 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026Not sure why you're talking about me as if I'm not here. I'm just a stay-at-home mom. We’re at an impasse because I don't have time to read through hundreds of web pages and court docs, and you can't say why you're so dead certain there was no fraud and never will be. 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026From what you supplied about Mebane, he seems ambivalent and reluctant to get involved. Maybe he disagrees with the ETA. Maybe he is an accidental imposter himself, i.e., his methods aren't as good as his prestige implies. Regardless, they would be irrelevant if we had airtight election controls. 000
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026All votes should be on paper ballots counted by hand. When machines are used, randomly chosen reported results should be verified against hand counts. Hardware and software should be open to public inspection. 200
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026The laws in place that trigger occasional recounts or audits aren't enough. I want you to be specific in your replies, not go info-dumping a bunch of irrelevant websites and court documents. You're making the claim. Precisely how do your resources support your claims? 300
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026#24 and onward are concerning. Was the case dismissed? 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026Shouldn't you yourself know whether the 2024 presidential results were audited or recounted anywhere? You should know that before you go around trying to shut down the discussion about fraud. From the website: "The U.S.’s aging voting equipment makes its election infrastructure vulnerable." 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026What's the significance of joining a case with Hornik? And: your argument against intimidation is that Friesdat's statements are exaggerated or otherwise unreliable? 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026I can see that claims of election fraud bother you. You dismiss Musk's admissions. You take comfort that controls developed in a digitally less-sophisticated time are in place. Statistical patterns akin to Russian elections don't phase you. What would you allow as evidence of election fraud? 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026This says the state treasurer's race was audited, but not the presidential race. The main fraud concern was for the presidential election. One cause for concern was that votes for Trump materialized on unusual levels of split tickets in some cases or on otherwise empty ballots in other cases. 200
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026... Additionally, ETA documented a lack of mandated audits of tabulation machines in some precincts and a lack of proper chain of custody in others. 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026Which states did hand recounts of election results? Precincts are supposed to audit tabulation machines, but a poison software patch could trigger only during a specific time period. The pre-election audit could look clean, while the digitally tabulated results are tainted... 210
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026It's hard to follow a jumble of posts, but I think your argument was that she couldn't have been intimidated because she pursued the case again. Why did she file again if the case was so weak? 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026The burden of proof is indeed on you. You are the one who reached out to assert that there was no election fraud. You have no evidence for that, only a feeling. Please look at the evidence that contradicts your assertion before you try to shut the discussion down again. 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026The interview was with Pavel Zarubin. I think the date was June 28. 000
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026Evidence would come from random hand-counts to verify election results. Unless you have that, you have no evidence yourself. It's entirely possible to rig tabulation machines. Skeptics have laid out potential processes. What's the evidence that wasn't done? 300
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026I believe that's the case in which the plaintiff abruptly dropped the case, yes. She had more supporters with sworn affidavits saying they voted for her than there were votes counted for her in a particular precinct. 110
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026There is one sure, relatively low-cost way to verify: Random hand-counted audits of election results. 110
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026Try this: electiontruthalliance.orgelectiontruthalliance.orgElection Truth Alliance - Election Truth AllianceWhere Data Meets Democracy. 000
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026Another way to look at it is that the knee-jerk denial of his denialism gives him cover to cheat. Voter fraud is rare. Election fraud by Trump allies is certain. Remember that every accusation is a confession with these guys. It's an old trick to accuse your enemies of your own crimes. 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026There is solid evidence of miscounted votes as well as statistical evidence, evidence of lapses in controls, of intimidating a plaintiff in a court case, public claims by both Trump and Elon, right-wingers buying businesses for vote tabulation machines and related hardware. 100
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026Also, to reiterate: Putin admitted in an interview that there is no Alaska agreement. 110
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026...At this point Trump probably can't even remember any conversations from Alaska or even from yesterday. Putin knows that. He's just trying to make people nervous or something. 000
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026No, they don't think there's any agreement. They're just pretending. It's a propaganda tactic. They're gaslighting. Sure they have secret conversations but anything Trump offers isn't a deal. Putin knows that. It's dust in the wind unless Trump can pull it together into a real commitment... 200
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026Trump doesn't understand the limits of his authority, but Putin does. Putin knows that whatever Trump says is unreliable and that it certainly is not an agreement with the United States of America. Putin is just playing when he refers to an "agreement." He publicly admitted there is none. 000
Anne Marie @papersnowflake3.bsky.social · 14/07/2026(1) Ukraine & Europe aren't the U.S. Congress. (2) Trump is fickle. If his word is the only guarantee, then there is no guarantee. (3) Yes, Trump has successfully sidestepped Congress sometimes, but other times Congress has successfully pushed back against him. There is no guarantee. 110
