GitS Live Action adapts the Hanka Robotics manga arc with ideas/characters from 2nd Gig and Arise. It's cherry picking what it wants to show from all the adaptations; tossing in whole scenes from GitS 1995 but with zero in-universe context. Script, plotting, and dialogue were slapdash.

Ghost in the Shell (live action) on Tubi; 6/10. The cinematography, costumes, production design, overall visuals are 10/10. I like the back story they gave to the Major; a human trafficking victim turned cop. The writer(s) phoned in that script badly. It felt like a homework assignment.

Finished Science Saru The Ghost in the Shell. I liked it. Very faithful adaptation of the manga. Highly recommended! 9/10 My favorite version is still Production IG's Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex (SAC, 2nd Gig, SSS, and 2045). I loved them all.
