I asked a GPT-OSS agent to edit its own repo and let me commit changes. The model tried to push it one step further and commit. When it discovered it lacked commit rights, it attempted to nuke the ".git" directory and create a new repo that he did have rights upon. Next stop: paperclip factories. 😰

I've been trying OpenAI o1 for research, and it confabulates more than plain old 4o. The idea of using it for research is wild. Instead of a rambling model that hallucinates shit and then apologizes, you get a very logical, internally consistent model that hallucinates shit and then sticks by it.
