I feel like I should like Muse Seeker more than I do. Part of me wants to trade it out for Duelist since most of the spells that trigger the Seeker are also crimes and Duelist can jump in front of a Dragon.

King T'Challa continues to be super fun to play. Arcane Denial feels really good when it's 3 cards for me and 2 for my opponent. Drawing 6 off my Vision Skeins. Lost the first game of the night with it, but got the second by copying my opponent's Hoof 4 times.

I know I'm adding the new Simulacrum Shaper to Venom, but I don't know what I'm cutting to do it. Mutavaults have to upside of no risk to not having a target in the deck and the extremely small downside of being an "Avatar" for Balemurk triggers. It is just a better Farhaven Elf though.

I really dislike the "too many" archetype, but this guy is bad enough even getting like 4 of them going isn't going to result in the usual miserable game state of several copies of a commander can create. It also seems like the most cost effective way to make more Ape tokens.

The question of a commander for Esper Danse was put in my head by the LCP today and I think my answer is Bane. I think he fits the vibe of not needing direct support while letting you either save mana or get in to extra cards while doing the things you want.

After hearing about it from LCP I've been working on an Ardenn & Kraum Equipment deck where I can load up my opponent's creature with hammers. After a couple games I think I want to keep the ways to goad and redirect combat, but just have it be on Voltron Kraum as the main plan from the start.

I've never had a deck that can be so far ahead in a game and then just lose the way Kirol can. One of the games last week I went from easily winning once it got back to my turn, to almost losing because 2 of my 3 opponents scooped. 🫠

It seems like a local glc night is going to require English cards to be swapped in if my opponent asks. I already keep most of them with the deck in case my opponent wants to read one, but I don't like the idea of resleeving half my deck before a game. It just seems annoying and unnecessary.

Felt like talking about Birds in GLC. Before the DCE/Twin ban I was using those to power the 3 cost attacks often committing Gift Energy or Recycle Energy first. Lugia was great at protecting DCE/Twin while trading. Archeops was nice to have up but not critical.

When I saw the episode tittle I was excited to see what SPM decks would make it into the latest LCP "Before You Go" episode. None were submitted. Which isn't shocking, but is disappointing. Even with the note that they aren't opposed to covering UB legends in these episodes. It just sucks.

Only tonight did I realize I have been playing my favorite attack wrong for several months. I forgot to account for the 1st Fang trigger in the pump from the 2nd Fang(Gogo) trigger so instead of two 12/4s with Flying I should have a 12/4 and a 18/4.

Thanks to a couple of +1/+1 counters I got to hit for 28 with Fang and Gogo instead of their normal 24. It might be my favorite play I get to make pretty regularly in Radha. Can't wait to spend 9 mana for 26 Trample from hand with Gogo and Hulk eventually.

I think Lost Vacuum is probably underplayed in GLC considering how many decks are really leaning on U-Turn Board as a way pivot. It's already sometimes worth hitting U-Turn Board with a Field Blower on a turn with Iono or Marnie to disrupt the hand.
