You can prevent soundmojis from rendering by denying the 'Use external sounds' perm. This only causes the soundmojis to not render though, and does not prevent them being sent. I'd have reported the automod bypass here but Discord's security program considers it out of scope.

It looks like Discord is rolling out soundmojis again, with a new format & visuals (currently out to 10% of users). Currently, sound names DO bypass automod. You can account for this by blocking all soundmoji from being sent with this regex: <sound:([0-9]{17,19}:[0-9]{17,19}|[1-6])>

No, discord's email system isn't compromised. People can submit support requests on your behalf, anyone can spoof discord emails (your provider should mark them as spam). Last xss I saw was server pages & was fixed ages ago. Obviously be careful, but this is just a chain mail.

Update, the ban seems to only affect users that shared/forwarded a new skin. The skin in question being "Mistress of Hate", a skin for Invisible Woman. Discord have spoken at length about their AI harmful content detection - discord.com/safety/how-dis… Maybe a misfire?

Seeing this as a ban reason is pretty scary! I've seen a lot of people on reddit and other socials very worried about their accounts. A mass action like this WILL be investigated, and anyone falsely banned will almost definitely get their accounts back.

It looks like Discord mass-banned members of the Marvel Rivals Discord server for child safety(?). Make sure to appeal @ dis.gd/request - use the same email as your discord account. Seems the server was raided with illicit content - Do not join the server.
