California and NYC are the two places I hear talked about the most when it comes to needing voter ID laws. But just as an FYI, Republican doesn't = the same politics as everyone on the Republican party. There are Republicans more aligned with Democrats than with Trump.

Well, good news is most people are in favor of Voter ID laws, which are directionally towards a citizenship test. Legal citizens being detained by ICE have happened by accident, looked into and let go. Yeah, it's unfortunate, but it's not like they're rotting in cells.
