In 2012, Val Kilmer and I were stuck in an office because I had just finished interviewing him and there was a bomb threat nearby. Streets were sealed off and we weren't allowed to leave the building. Still, he remained fun and chatty. He always seemed larger than life. RIP, legend. 🕯️

I just called legendary 96-year-old architect Louis Naidorf (Capitol Records Building, Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, etc.). He's watching "Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl" and in a great mood, joking that the Capitol Records Building is made of UFOs. A truly delightful and inspiring man.
