Republican congressman Max Miller faces backlash over domestic abuse allegations Ohio representative is accused by his ex-wife and ex-girlfriend of abuse as he campaigns for re-election www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...
Separately, Miller’s former girlfriend Grisham, who served as White House press secretary during Donald Trump’s first administration, has also accused him of abuse, an allegation he has denied. Grisham and Miller dated from 2019 to 2020.

In a 2021 Washington Post op-ed, Grisham – without naming Miller – wrote about a relationship that “turned abusive”, and of a former partner who was “physical” with her. Although she did not identify Miller in the article, he said it was widely understood that the op-ed referred to him. She later confirmed she was talking about Miller, according to the Times.

Miller subsequently sued Grisham for defamation before later dropping the lawsuit as part of a confidential settlement agreement. Grisham has since filed a new lawsuit against Miller, alleging that he violated the confidential settlement through comments he made to Spectrum News.

Andrew Tate’s arrest causes trouble for Trump’s youngest son Source: www.msn.com/en-us/news/o...
So why did the Trump White House suddenly cut the Tate brothers loose? The breakdown was not sparked by a sudden moral awakening regarding sex trafficking or rape. It was likely sparked by the cardinal sin of the MAGA media universe: political disloyalty.

In February, as the administration weighed military action in the Middle East, Andrew Tate took to his livestreaming platform to launch a furious, unhinged tirade against Trump’s strike on Iran.

See Maverick72's link for the full story. How the G.O.P. Turned Olive Garden Into a Voter ID Talking Point bsky.app/profile/mave...
That same week, the pasta behemoth Olive Garden brought back its popular Never-Ending Pasta Pass, and informed customers that a photo ID would be needed to use it.

Thanks to a social media post — what else? — these two separate, seemingly unrelated events became intertwined, as Republicans spun up a buzzy but misleading talking point claiming that Olive Garden polices its bottomless pasta deal more tightly than the United States does its elections.Olive Garden’s passes allow the 10,000 Americans lucky enough to purchase one to enjoy 13 weeks of unlimited pasta for 100 bucks. Given those economics, a social media user asked the chain whether families could share a pasta pass. The answer was no; passes could be used only by the individuals who bought them.

“Passholders must present a valid photo I.D. along with the Pass at the time of ordering,” Olive Garden wrote on social media.

And just like that, Republicans had their latest and perhaps most appetizing talking point in their campaign to shame Democrats for opposing strict new measures that would require Americans to provide proof of citizenship to register to vote and limited forms of identification at the polls.

Interesting. I was curious about her, so I looked at her feed on X (yes, ewwww) & she doesn't like to be questioned about the AIPAC $ and endorsements she accepts. She walked away from a young Jewish mother (with her baby) when the woman calmly asked why she accepted $ and endorsements from AIPAC.

Two killings within days of each other is bad enough. That neither of the victims were the "target of the warrant" absolutely aggravates the circumstances. Mullin is inept and obviously incapable of running this organization, and should be removed. Impeach. Convict. Remove.
ICE's actions in Houston and Biddeford prove this man is not qualified to lead DHS. Impeach. Convict. Remove.

But John Baron, a vice president of the Trump Organization, said after the demolition yesterday that the company had decided not to preserve the sculptures because "the merit of these stones was not great enough to justify the effort to save them.” Mr. Baron said the company had got three independent appraisals of the sculptures. These, he said, had found them to be "without artistic merit” and worth less than $9,000 in “resale value.” He said it would have cost $32,000 to remove them carefully and would have delayed demolition work by a week and a half and perhaps longer because of the need for cranes and municipal permits. "How extraordinary," said Ashton Hawkins, vice president and secretary of the board of trustees of the Met, when told of the Trump decision. “I know that there was an offer of a gift in the event that the objects could be saved. I would think that would be sufficient to guide them in their actions. We are certainly very disappointed and quite surprised.” As for the Trump Organization's artistic assessment of the pieces, Mr. Hawkins said: "Can you imagine the museum accepting them if they were not of artistic merit?" He added: "Architectural sculpture of this quality is rare and would have made definite sense in our collections. Their monetary value was not what we were interested in. The department of 20th-century art was interested in having them because of their artistic merit." Robert Miller, owner of the Robert Miller Gallery at 724 Fifth Avenue, directly across the avenue from the Bonwit building, had agreed in March to assess the value of the pieces and had said at the time: "The reliefs are as important as the sculptures on the Rockefeller building. They'll never be made again.” Yesterday, Mr. Miller said he was stunned when he looked out his 11th-floor window and saw workmen attack the sculptures with jackhammers. "They were just jackhammered in half and pulled down in such a way that they shattered," he said. “It was just tragic. They …
