Another pizza I made. This one is a more basic cheese pizza. Homemade sauce, mozzarella, baked and then sprinkled with basil and crushed red pepper with a light drizzle of olive oil.

I forgot to post this here, oops. I made pizza. This style of pizza is called Ferdinando, it's a recipe from the 18th century. Olive oil, garlic, crushed red pepper, oregano, sea salt, then it's baked and after you add shredded pecorino and a little more olive oil. It's extremely good.

Brutal Complex is one of the most stunningly beautiful RPG Maker games I've ever played, I was blown away by the demo when it first released years ago, and to hear it was developed in conditions like that is wild. I wish the demo had an English translation. I hope it's finished one day.

This shit fucks. These are homemade katsu musubis. I made the katsu chicken from scratch. The rice has salt and toasted sesame seeds in it, with furikake sprinkled on top. The katsu chicken was brushed with a heavy amount of yeobo (spicy hawaiian teriyaki) sauce.

Today's attempt at pizza turned out super good, but the crust was still too dark. I've used different dough every time, that's probably making it harder. It was pepperoni, bacon, mushroom, and basil, with a spicy tomato sauce.

Some more #photography on my way home this morning

I'll finish off with some praise. This game has a wonderful soundtrack, and I'm always excited to hear more of it. The art for the upgrades are exceedingly beautiful, I would give good money for a tarot deck illustrated by @philtacular.bsky.social in this style.

The camera needs better clamping. There are places where just by moving your mouse the camera will move you out of frame, or show outside the bounds of the world where there aren't textures, or even just hides the beautiful environment more than it probably should.

Sometimes white text was put over top of cards with cream paper and bright colors, and it was very difficult to read. That's a big accessibility oversight, that text definitely needs an outline.

Before I get to any of my critiques, I just want to say that this games delivers on it's stunning visual style. The creator is obviously a very talented pixel artist and uses lighting, colors, and shaders really effectively to create a neon dark fantasy hellscape.

Gorgeous neon red and pink tendrils and walls of flesh twist around a backdrop of stone brick castles, with a glowing, beating heart half out of frame.

A neon rose and pitch black distorted hellscape with an animalistic demon of the same colors towering over you, and a pile of skulls with pink light beaming up from under them behind you. A colossal pure white ring hangs in the sky rather than the sun or moon.

A toxic neon lime green forest with dark brown leaves and trees and vines.

A fiery orange factory with lava and rusty metal pipes, floors, cauldrons, and gears. The sky burns red in the distance.

I was working on Orbeats, my rhythm game, earlier tonight. I was losing my mind, it seemed like the audio or the screen or something on the simulator was delayed and I couldn't seem to fix it, but it ran perfectly fine on hardware. I was using Bluetooth headphones the whole time.

3. Subnautica @ 190 hours. I've played through this only three times and yet. It's so expansive & fun to just explore and create in, such beautiful designs & environments. I could run it on my mac mini when I didn't have a PC, so I spent a lot of time on it. Every playthrough is as fun as the first.

4. Tabletop Simulator @ 136 hours. I have a fairly large collection of board games, no nearby friends, and a fear of talking to the men at my local game shop, so this is how I play all my favorite board games basically. I also use this to design and test board and card games. It's pretty fun.

5. Kingsway @ 107 hours. A slept on favorite imo, an extremely well crafted RPG roguelite that doesn't let its cozy retro PC aesthetic get in the way of its excellent worldbuilding. Nobody I know had heard of it; a crime, honestly. Lots of secrets, endings, and unlockables too, just an amazing game.

6. Don't Starve Together @ 86 hours. Another game I just haven't gotten very far in but love the shit out of. I play this one super often with my friends for a couple weeks every half year or so and then forget about it. Super cute and fun, one of the best survival games imo. Webber best boy.

7. Cookie Clicker @ 64 hours.* Not much to say about this one, everyone knows and loves Cookie Clicker. I've almost gotten everything I can, but fell off at the point where you kind of just need to grind the farm for a long time. I did cheat in lumps, but I'm not ashamed honestly and you should too.

8. Spelunky 2 @ 63 hours. This one I'm surprised I haven't put more time into it, but also I haven't beaten it yet. I haven't even gotten halfway through and it's this much time already. I hope to keep playing more of it and eventually beat it. One of the best roguelikes out there.

9. Inscryption @ 54 hours. One of my biggest inspirations. An amazing story, amazing world, and amazingly fun. I've designed TCGs pretty much as long as I've known about them and act 2 nails the feel I'd want to go for. I've only played through it twice, but put some time into Kaycee's Mod too.

10. Mixolumia @ 50 hours. Just a really fun action puzzle game from @mixolumia.com akin to Puyo Puyo or Tetris, with dynamic music & sfx like Tetris Effect. I'm surprised it's this high considering it's not one I have super strong feelings about, but I come back to it fairly often.
