Picked up the new Cardfight Vanguard trial decks before work today, and I actually pulled a god deck! Not the biggest Overlord fan, but it’s still really cool. Just wish I had everything to build the deck. The Aichi deck had two good cards as well.

It’s wild to imagine it’s been 15 years already, but here we are. I love this game so much, and I’ll keep playing it until the day they stop making cards.

Paladin X Rider @paladinxrider.bsky.social · 11/01/2026

Zhiro makes art of the highest quality. I own a few of their playmats now, and I can vouch if you pick this new one up you won’t regret it.

My friend and I got some boxes of the Cardfight Vanguard x Shadowverse collab. Abyss was part of my split, and in our second box I pulled this beautiful card. I’m super excited that I got one of the two leaders I wanted.

Tonights episode of Cardfight Vanguard got me excited to play Prison again. The new Clearlight looks great, and I’m excited to see the new ride line and prison.

I’m getting pretty excited. Last week, I found out a shop is firing up Vanguard tournaments finally, and I’ve really been excited to play at a local shop again.

Paladin X Rider @paladinxrider.bsky.social · 02/08/2025

Even though it appears to be a copy of an older card, I like the new card Magnolia got in tonight’s episode. I even like Rezael’s unit, but I don’t think the deck will use it.

Got some new Vanguard cards in the mail today, there was one deck I was excited to update, and the new build is just clicking. Hopefully I can find a tournament soon to test it out.

Paladin X Rider @paladinxrider.bsky.social · 13/07/2025

I love finding a new Shadowverse Evolve deck I really enjoy playing, but I wish there were more people around me who played the game.

Why is my luck only good for ghost games? I wish I could get turns like this on actual opponents!

Nothing makes me bounce back into a good mood more than getting new/updated Vanguard decks. Magnolia, Drajeweled and Blangdmire have really made me happy this set.

I forgot to post about BSF Rosemont this past weekend, but if I’m being honest it was probably one of the worst BSF experiences I ever had. The people were fine, but this was probably the worst I’ve ever performed in the tournament. It’s just an awful feeling after 12 years dedicated to the game.

Paladin X Rider @paladinxrider.bsky.social · 19/06/2025

Gotta be honest, not happy with the only hit to Bavs being the Overtrigger. Don’t get me wrong, that needed to happen, but it’s not enough. My guess is they’re afraid to touch Bavs since we’ll be getting support with Mirei still in the next season. Gotta sell!

Paladin X Rider @paladinxrider.bsky.social · 10/06/2025

Taught one of my BSF teammates how to play Vanguard(his second and third game ever). The first game he was about to win and my OT shifted the game in my favor. The second game I was about to win, and his OT shifted the game. He told me he now knows why I complain about OT so much and wants the ban 😂

Paladin X Rider @paladinxrider.bsky.social · 15/05/2025

Gonna start practicing for BSF this weekend with my team, and the hard part is teaching our new teammate how each deck he may play against works. He’s played one game so far, and has no Vanguard tournament experience. Should be fun.

Does anyone know if there’s a 3D model of Bavsargra floating around out there?

Got my first mangas delivered today! Just have to wait until after work to edit my deck. First deck this is going in is definitely Odium.

Happy Easter to all those celebrating today!

Paladin X Rider @paladinxrider.bsky.social · 07/03/2025

It’s been nearly 25 years since the infamous episode released, and it still bothers me that there’s no “Living Arrow” card in Yugioh. Mammoth Graveyard and Polymerization are still waiting to combo off in my deck.

Paladin X Rider @paladinxrider.bsky.social · 01/03/2025

I’ve been having a hard time finding time to get back to making videos. Lately, schedules just haven’t lined up between work and life. I’m considering making some Dear Days 2 videos by myself right now, but I’m not sure if there’s any interest.

Cardfight Vanguard community: I’m looking at getting some power dice from a seller on Etsy, but after the whole thing with Metal Cards I’m nervous. Does anyone know anything about this seller? They seem relatively new, and I want to hear from someone before I buy. www.etsy.com/listing/1832...

A new guy came to my local shop this weekend, and I wanted to go easy on them since it was their first time back to Vanguard and I didn’t want to sour the experience. I beat them before they hit grade 3, and now I feel like a jerk. He was cool and appreciated just having someone to play. 😂

Paladin X Rider @paladinxrider.bsky.social · 06/02/2025

I was really excited for a friend to play Vintage Fight in Dear Days 2, and share with them everything from back then about what made Vanguard so popular that it’s still around today. That friend comes back and shits on it, saying it was the single most boring fight they ever had, and that it was…

I feel bad after this past weekend that I didn’t go to Rosemont. At first it was the uncertainty of the weather, but knowing it was clear now I would have gone. However, work has been slapping me with working weekends, and they gave me a Saturday shift. I’m so angry that it took my ability to go.

So excited for DD2 this week! I never got the DLC for the first game, so I can’t wait to build some of my favorites from the past few years. Just gotta decide if I want to build Drajeweled or Blangdmire first.

Paladin X Rider @paladinxrider.bsky.social · 17/01/2025

I feel like I’m in a minority saying this, but I’m legitimately excited for Dear Days 2 at the end of the month. My main problem with the first one was the lack of decks in the base version, but that gets corrected this time. I can start the game with Drajeweled, and that’s pretty cool. #cardfight

I didn’t think I’d get the next video done in time for tomorrow, but I have it exporting now. This one was a little rushed, but hopefully nothing seems too off about it. Video should be up tomorrow as long as nothing happens tonight. Also, this is our first V series video since my big break.

Paladin X Rider @paladinxrider.bsky.social · 04/01/2025

I’m glad I took a break from making videos these last 2 weeks. Work for me picks up a lot during the holidays, and there were some days I was managing everything by myself (one night I just slept at work and didn’t come home). Gonna get another video out next week.

Paladin X Rider @paladinxrider.bsky.social · 31/12/2024

Can’t decide what to call these. Pride Blitzes or Skittles Gang?

Paladin X Rider @paladinxrider.bsky.social · 26/12/2024

Merry Christmas everyone! Hopefully you all had a wonderful day, regardless of if you celebrated or not. Thought I’d share my last high rarity pull before the holiday since it seems themed too well. 😂

Had to say goodbye to the cool coworker today. He’s moving onto a better job, so I’m happy for him. But man, I’m gonna miss working with him.

Paladin X Rider @paladinxrider.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

If this is true, I want to see a Yugioh player top enough events where they’re able to set up an empty apartment with all the appliances they’ve won from tournaments. That would be the greatest series ever on Youtube to me!

Paladin X Rider @paladinxrider.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

I really hate this time for Vanguard reveals when everything is just commons and rares, and occasionally they’ll throw us a bone and give us something cool to talk about. I wish the low rarity stuff in D format made me excited to play decks.

Vanguard creator friends, I have a question. Where do you go to get the full art of cards? I’ve been having problems getting decent quality versions for thumbnails lately.

Paladin X Rider @paladinxrider.bsky.social · 18/12/2024

I put on a 10 hour loop of the Traverse Town theme from Kingdom Hearts at work. My boss walks in, ask what music it is, I told him and he likes it. Said it was really calming. 😂

Paladin X Rider @paladinxrider.bsky.social · 18/12/2024

Welp, it’s that time of year where all my friends are busy with the holidays or are done going to events for a while. I’m at a point where I need to take a break from games for a little bit. I’ll still put out a video on Friday, but just haven’t felt the best lately mentally to keep up with Vanguard
