Remembering that time I modded my PC copy of Y4 to change some of Arai's lines back to the PS3 localisation bc the remaster removed his polite tone in some key cutscenes. The whole point is that he doesn't walk and talk like any typical yakuza??????

Iirc there's a thread on twitter about how Saejima's accent is handled more consistently and better in the PS3 version compared to the remaster. (Sorry for the drive by 1948292 years later, this has also grinded my gears forever)

The original translation for them is more literal, but personally I don't mind it?? Would rather that than going too loose or straight up adding things (like in your screenshots). Here's another example with 4R, PS3!4 and original JP.

and by that I mean. we don't need a y3k when they'll never acknowledge certain issues, or rather. Changing the tamashiro crest removes the one part of the game that tries to vaguely point that "jp imperialism is bad guys" without going too hard and alienating their fanbase.
