Binged four seasons of Barry over the weekend, and oh my, what a show! an instant favorite and some of the best television I've seen in the past decade. I can't get it off my mind. A masterclass in writing. Cinematography and directing in S4 was next level. I wish I watched it sooner.

It’s hard though for an old time Anne Rice fan not to see her influence on vampire stories produced in the last four or five decades including this one. She’s truly the godmother of modern (western) vampire lore. Whether themes, world building or character struggles, her hallmarks are everywhere.
