Another box done! This time it's "ancient Egyptian infantry" by Zvezda. They have an additive or different formula, while it's still soft plastic this stuff is a little stiffer, which means surfaces stay flat when trimmed. No hot glue this time 😂 #minis #miniwargaming #wargaming #hott

Based Egyptian infantry. 3 spear units in focus

More Egyptian infantry. These guys are blades and have axes and swords

Last shot of Egyptian infantry. These are armed pesants or lower caste guys, which I've opted to base as warbands (minimally trained units but not disposable like hoards). Two bases have spears, one has axes, they all are in a charging pose

Supergule kinda sucks to work with and this soft plastic just bounces everywhere. No such thing as a flat surface, so I ended up opting for hot glue (similar bouncy consistency even) and that worked like a charm. One box down! #hott #hoardsofthethings #miniwargaming #wargaming

3 units, one of spears and two swordy bases

3 more units, one with bows and two more swords

Two units, assassin looking dudes which are two to a base and called "sneakers" in hoards of the things

4 units of 3 minis, with misc pole arms, that I've called "warbands" for hoards of the things. Unarmored guys that are good at charging but aren't disciplined like swords or spears

Working thru the pile of shame lately. Getting things built, on the shelves and ready to prime/primed. Today is 1:72 today for hordes of the things #hott Anubus army by Dark Alliance currently on the table! #wip #minis

A gaggle of 1:72 minis dry fit for basing on rectangular bases

More minis getting ready for basing but strewn about

If you use AI for your miniature background. I don't care if it's the most wonderful miniature ever, if you have a golden demon or whatever. Your miniature is trash. You use AI, it's trash. That's the rule. I rather like to see a miniature on a bad photo, with no background, than that.

3d printed medium artillery. Details are a bit soft but it's better than paying an arm and leg for old sculpts on eBay. 🧵 #tyranids #minipainting #wargaming #onepagerules #alienhives #40k

Old-school spine cannon guys. One is for sure official metal, the other two I think are pirated resin I bought off eBay for too much. They are WONKY even for gw resin. 🧵 #tyranids #minipainting #wargaming #onepagerules #alienhives #40k

Fully 3d printed spine cannon guard squad. May as well since I was making a bunch of the bodies anyway. It's a passable sculpt. 🧵 #tyranids #minipainting #wargaming #onepagerules #alienhives #40k

Some crushing guard and their forced scenery. Not a fan of that so of course I made sure it's ripping up a Mary sue marine :p Bodies are 3d printed. Gotta max that boxes value 🧵 #tyranids #minipainting #wargaming #onepagerules #alienhives #40k

Gargoyles! More of the green stuff world shimmer paint. A lot of the damage on these came from reclaiming them from my old scheme, I stripped the paint but the process did end up hurting some of the thinner bits 🧵 #tyranids #minipainting #wargaming #onepagerules #alienhives #40k

3rd and final batch of Termagants, mostly with devourers. Each batch was like 30 models, and I painted them in 10s. Never again 😭 one page rules is so much more forgiving on army size 🧵 #tyranids #minipainting #wargaming #onepagerules #alienhives #40k

Bonesword and deathspitters. These are resin 3rd party boneswords I bought in like...2014? Might have been the same company as the brain bugs earlier but I don't remember. I had to convert the hands so peek the shoddy fingers 😂 🧵 #tyranids #minipainting #wargaming #onepagerules #alienhives #40k

The swarmlord himself. A old school metal body I got at a yard sale in like 2010, with some plastic spare parts from the more modern 2015 kit. This was early on, so my dry brushing looks dusty, bones look wack etc lol 🧵 #tyranids #minipainting #wargaming #onepagerules #alienhives #40k
