Hello again, Bluesky. It's been a while. Here's a WIP from last Friday's stream. Maybe I'll finish it tonight

If you follow me on IG you've already seen these, but I've been sharing pics of a bunch of Oldhammer-inspired dudes I painted up. I even got one of those rad gradient backdrops. Really having a blast with the nostalgia! I really need to get better at sharing on Bluesky 😅 #oldhammer

Over the weekend the SoCal Hobbit League hosted a other monthly tournament at SquadMarks in Garden Grove! Somehow we even managed 16 unique legions! So glad to see the community for the game grow around these parts! #mesbg

I've had this idea for years and finally got around to making a pocket version of Brawl Arcane using 10mm Argatoria models and a travel chess board. I think it works rather well! #minipainting #brawlarcane28

I got my start in the hobby with 2nd Ed Warhammer 40k when I was a kid. After a long break I came back to the hobby and it's taken 5-6 years back at the painting desk to circle more or less back to the beginning. Technically this is a new sculpt in the old style, but it feels like home. #oldhammer

I keep telling myself that I need to post more on Bluesky. So here's some cool pics from this weekend's SoCal Hobbit League tournament! Can't wait for the next one in April! #socalhobbitleague

I found this Warhammer ziggurat built and primed in a box of junk sprues marked "free". So I adopted it and slapped some colour on it! #miniaturepainting #argatoria #ageofsigmar

I've been painting a bunch of stuff for a Shire army for LOTR, starting with Gandalf riding into town on his cart! #lotr #gandalf #mesbg #miniaturepainting

Gondor calls for Artillery! Now that the rest of the game has rules, I'm inspired to expand my existing Minas Tirith army. I decided an "artillery division" sounded like a good time (for me, not my opponent 😝) #miniaturepainting #lotr #nerdlings

I'm running out of Halfling Jousters to paint, but that's not a bad thing! I finally have enough painted up to actually play some Half Tilt and I'm stoked! #miniaturepainting #nerdlings

Planning ahead a smidge for my Knights of Avarice warband, I swapped all of the lightning bolts on this electro mage from Bestiarum Miniatures and converted her to a Gas Witch! #Trenchcrusade #nerdlings

In the last round of our Trench Crusade campaign, my warband uncovered a Book of Golems in the aftermath. I already have a pair of daemonettes based together to act as my War Wolf, and I thought that a third one its own would make for a nice thematic golem proxy. #trenchcrusade #nerdlings

I'm attempting to try a different legion every month for this year's series of LOTR tournaments. Last month I played Usurpers of Edoras, and this month I'll try the Beseigers of the Hornburg! That means I get to try out Shank, Wrot, and the Snow Troll! #mesbg #miniaturepainting

Finished this John Blanche-style Ushoran for a painting competition at my local gaming shop. I'm really proud of how it turned out!

A miniature model of a monstrous, hunched, and ghoulish vampire king that is standing menacingly on top of a crumbling set of ruined stairs overlooking a lake of swirling blood. The ruin is littered with bones and debris, with the vampire's blood red cape and loincloth draped over the steps. Bright golden bangles hang from the creature's thin wrists as it holds a brilliant golden skeletal scepter in the crook of its long and corded arms. The creature stares at the viewer with beady, white eyes deep-set into a thin skeletal face, with a blood red gem embedded in its forehead and five bony spikes that protrude from its scalp, giving the impression of a morbid crown fused into its head. The creature wears several massive pelts over its hunched back, with gibbering skulls and screaming faces of the dead and insane tangled within the long and matted dark purplish brown fur. The model is extremely warm in tone, consisting majorly of off-white bone colors, blood reds, and vibrant orange and yellows for the golden adornments, with no blues or greens to be found. The coloration gives the impression of a cloying heat, an uncomfortable atmosphere of humidity born from the blood lake, with the smells of iron and rancid meat hanging ever present in the air.

I painted the "reluctant shield maiden" from Medbury as a proxy for Olwyn in my Defenders of the Hornburg army for MESBG since Games Workshop doesn't have an official model yet. I'm excited to see what they come up with when the time comes! #minipainting #waroftherohirrim #lotr #mesbg

I took a break from Dunland stuff to work on Hera from War of the Rohirrim for a tournament over the weekend. Unfortunately I ended up getting crushed by my low model count, but at least my heroes looked pretty good out there! #minipainting #lotr #mesbg #nerdlings #warmongers

Every jibbering horde of wildmen needs a leader! I painted Freca in a similar scheme to how I painted Erkenbrand to represent the Westfold back before he got squatted. I'll need to paint some regular Rohan troops in this red/yellow scheme soon too! #minipainting #lotr #mesbg #nerdlings #warmongers

A big batch of Dunland Hill Tribesmen to accompany my Rohan traitors! I usually wouldn't recommend painting this many at once, but sometimes just tearing through the bulk chaff of an army is necessary to make time for the fun stuff #mesbg #minipainting #nerdlings
