so i finished a 90,000 word draft of a book (first one). i'm gonna put it aside and look @ it again in january. anyone who's successfully written a book...got any advice 1) for what to do while i don't work on this? 2) how am i gonna edit this?! its both missing things and too long already...HELP

What’s an Osborne Fire Finder you might ask? It’s a sight that rotates about a map for an observer to establish a heading and elevation of wild fires from a known observation point. If you own or have access to an actual Osborne, holler at me, because I’d love to check it out.

This is a long shot, but I’m looking for an Osborne Fire Finder,ideally to take measurements so I can make a reproduction. Why? Because they’re a brilliant piece of fire prevention and forest management history.
