I remember reading The Impossible Fortress. It takes place in the 80s. It was like reading a lost manuscript to an 80s film. At the end of the book, my mind created a freeze frame of the characters celebrating. The picture fades out and a photo of the two main characters fades in while the credits

I got it last week at Walmart. It was an impulse buy since I want to watch the Netflix show. My happy place is turning off the TV and computer, turning on the classical music station and reading. Books take you places outside of where we are. I will create a movie in my head as I am reading a book.

The first time I heard a similarity in a song was when I listened to Madonna's "Papa Don't Preach". I told my friend, "Doesn't this sound a lot like 'Sugar Don't Bite'"? According to Harris, the songwriters did sue Madonna and they won money. Listen for yourself.

Back then, people would be lucky if they got a show in their market when it came to syndication. I lived near Austin, Texas so we didn't get stuff like Freddy's Nightmares, Monsters or Tales from the Darkside. We didn't get Entertainment Tonight until 1989.#Cinemon
